I keep seeing people say they get around 30mpg with their ecoboost and it makes me think either A: you live in a relatively flat area or B: something is wrong with my Maverick.
I picked up my 22 ecoboost lariat with about 30k miles just about a month ago now and my average mpg is only 22-23 mpg despite using eco mode, never touching boost and using cruise control set to 65-70mph. I live in north county San Diego so our freeways are somewhat hilly. It seems when I’m in flat sections of highway I get closer to 30 but as soon as there is any incline whatsoever it starts dropping off pretty quick. My truck is stock, tires are fairly new and properly inflated. Air filter is new. Not sure if this is normal for mavericks in this area or if something is wrong with mine. Thoughts or can any other SD ecoboost owners chime in?
