I feel your pain. I had the battery replaced three times on my '22 XLT. It didn't make a difference. So I traded it for a '24 Lariat. So far it has spent a total of two weeks in the bay for the battery saver issue including a new battery. Still no resolution in sight, only lip service and the anticipation of a software fix. Definitely a love hate relationship going on here.
It doesn't bother that much. I just put it on a battery maintainer on the weekend. But I should not have to do this with a brand new truck. I still like the truck. If mine wasn't customized, I would have traded it already.

My experience as well. They did keep it overnight, recharged the Battery, but I'm not going to travel more. The distance to my work is the distance. After servicing, I'm getting the message again. Very frustrating. But on the good side, it hasn't hindered my truck from starting. I can still use my key fob to remote start as well. It was cold here a week ago so I needed the remote starting.
In my case there are no interior lights when it's in this mode. Tough loading and unloading in the dark. I never tried remote start.

Never ever had the problem with my '23 Hybrid XL, 20k+ miles.

Pulled Telematics fuse# 11 (passenger footwell fuse box) and put the truck on a battery tender periodically.

Of course, none of the above should be necessary on a new vehicle.

GOOD GOD ANOTHER POST ABOUT BATTERY ISSUE. THATS OK, WHAT'S WORSE IS MORE DIY BAD ADVICE WASTING TIME AND OR BUYING A BATTERY ON YOUR ON DIME! LET IT DIE, KEEP BRINGING INTO THE DEALER OR BE SILENT, WHINE AND DEAL WITH THE CONSEQUENCE OF SLOW OR NO ACTION. SORRY IF I SEEM ANGRY BUT WHY PUT UP WITH SHEET. I JUST GOT A PAINT PEN AND WROTE ON THE BACK WINDOW, " BEWARE, THIS HYBRID CAN'T KEEP IT'S BATTERIES CHARGED!" DEALER DIDN'T SEEM HAPPY WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN. PARKED IN THE BACK.
FIX IS SUPPOSEDLY COMING. IN FIRST QUARTER. IF NOT IM SELLING IT AND DONE WITH FORD. 3 F....ING YEARS OF BS WITH AN OVER PRICED 4 DOOR COPY OF A 1989 MAZDA B2200!

Ya - why are you putting up with these posts by reading and replying!
Some of your time should be sucked up bringing your truck in constantly to dealer to deal with the battery.

Unless this is your daily 20 min workout to get your HR elevated.
In which case you have a misunderstanding, that's not the same as physical activity to get your HR up for healthy reasons.

Wow. Every time I get close to ordering a Maverick, something comes up that makes me put it off. This is definitely a deal killer if this doesn't get resolved. I travel for work and my vehicles have to sit at the airport park and ride 4-5 days at a time. Last thing I need is coming back to a dead battery after every trip.

On another note, my mother has been having the same issue with her Honda CR-V since she purchased it. If it sits in the garage for more than a day, her battery is dead. It has been a constant headache getting the dealer to do anything about it. Finally we just mounted a charger under the hood for her to plug in when she is home. Completely not an option for my situation though.

Honestly, let's face it. How many manufacturers do you know of where battery issues are as common as on these ?

People putting their brand new trucks on trickle chargers. Give me a break. It's a joke.

It's 2024 (almost 2025) and these trucks aren't as tech filled as you think they are. Pretty basic in my opinion. No excuse for this massive fail.

I didn't say we should have to be taking measures to keep the 12v battery alive. I only posted what I have done to prevent having to take my truck to a friggin' ford dealer a 2.5 hour round trip away, only to tell me there's nothing wrong with my battery.

Give me an fn break.

I'm glad to see that this forum is getting the word out and affecting new sales. You can see by my posts how angered I am at Ford's lack of caring about quality control and follow thru. Fords focus is on add ons to mark up prices for profit. They have the most recalls right now. I was very hesitant to by a new model, let alone a Ford. To put out a new model and not fix a 3 year old problem is a no confidence issue for me.
Merry Christmas to all thoe annoyed by my caps. I should be yelling at myself. When I was 20 I bought a new 79 F150 Trailer special, decked out 4x4. It was a terd. Had GMC's ever since. Still have a full size crew cab, and Honda cars. Live and learn.

Keep reading, a major point is being missed in the mix.

Deep sleep is done if truck sits too long without being driven, or voltage drops below a point.

The sole reason for that is so there is enough juice left to start the vehicle.
So you don't come back from a long trip to dead battery.
You'll find those posts too where it worked exactly like it was supposed to - truck started up.

You'll notice the number with drained batteries like your mom is NOT the issue brought up very often at all.

The truck going into battery saving mode slowly, or deep sleep mode finally - is the issue.

Many of the cars today with advanced remote access functions or keyless entry do something similar to cut down on battery usage in order to start the vehicle after some time undriven.

Last year dealer replaced battery with aftermarket AGM, and now I am back to square one. The App note to drive a car for a while does not do anything. The same low battery message comes up after driving 150, or more miles. It does not appear that the battery is charged at all, or maybe at the reduced rate. I use trickle charger, and full charge is good only for one day. My suspicion is bad design of charging system. There is no battery state feedback to the dashboard to show red low battery warning. This feedback was never implemented by Ford, leaving the battery warning communication only to the App.

So you got an AGM in 2023, and it's back to battery saving items (lights off quick), and notices about deep sleep mode in app?

I kinda figured eventually - AGM should just last longer before that happens.
Does that mean it only made it a year?

Reduced rate charging is indeed what's happening after a short bit. But that's appropriate at some point.

Misreading where the battery charge is at to do that reduced rate charge seems to be a problem.
It doesn't know how low it's at, and doesn't do the higher charging Amps for as long as needed.

I'll mention this - I constantly see the 10 A level during the initial 5 minutes of a trip, then it drops down after that to barely anything - trickle charge, if that is truly what the battery needed to top off.

Short trips seem to be better. Shoot, don't even have to drive, turn it on and sit for 5 min.
Not like this is an alternator using a lot of amps to spin the engine up on crank, takes barely anything to turn On.
But - you won't fool it sitting there for 5 min, turn off, power on again. I don't know what the minimum off time is, but briefly ain't enough. Maybe the 90 min for clicking to stop.
Also - sitting key on Accessory listening to radio - not good.

Thanks for coming forward. It's becoming really obvious that Ford has a problem with their Hybrid system. If you don't use the app you would have no way of knowing you have any issue until the battery dies. I have been taking screenshots of the battery messages because they seem to disappear after a time from my message center. Until recently, the dealerships haven't admitted that there is an engineering design issue. My battery is slowly dieing. I've been to the dealer twice and back again tomorrow. Bought the truck in May and 2 months in it started the save mode. Had to jump it then charge recently. I have a tester and know how to correctly analyze its state. It is slowly going dead no matter how much or little I drive.
I've been trying to tell everyone as suggested by my service writer, to call Ford customer care and complain. The dealer said to mention SSM #53087 - Special Service Message regarding intermittent battery draw. Call 800-392-3673.
Trickle charging is like putting a bandaid on a cut artery.
