I know there has been several posts about both power and Manual rear sliding glass option for the Maverick and whether It’s useful or practical or not. In my case I purchased a 22 Maverick XL brand new and have been doing some modifications to my liking - I liked the idea of a rear sliding glass since I occasionally transport my 80 pound yellow lab in the back and she likes to peek through and check on us. The grandkids sit in the back and it’s nice to lower the front windows and open the rear slider for a cross breeze they seem to like that / I saw a few used sliders on eBay, both power and manual for what still seemed like a pretty good premium.

I found this aftermarket slider from national auto glass direct located in south El Monte, California - it was $403 with free shipping - it’s identical and design to the OEM factory glass but the center glass is approximately 2 inches wider, which was fine by me since the OEM is so tiny- The rear view from inside is perfectly fine/ Your local glass guy charged me $75 for the removal and installation. I boxed up and saved my old glass just in case. I hope some of you guys find this useful -

I am absolutely interested. Thank You very much for the information
If you love driving with your windows down and don't have a sunroof. This is the best option to eliminate the drumming sound of the wind in the cab of the truck.
Cue the 'well if you open this window and that window 3/4 of an inch and that other window all the way down you won't get buffeting or drumming of the wind'
I'm glad it works for you.

Looks good just would be a pain in the butt to open it from the rear door then every time you park or get out you've got to Open the rear door again, close it reopen it.

Kind of surprised ford doesn't offer a heated rear window whether solod glass or a slider. Both of my power sliding f-150s head heated rear glassand were XLT's.

I do remember some people in colder climates have an issues with the rear glass exploding though on the f-150s with rear heated glass.

Looks nice. I don't understand why Ford made the OEM ones so narrow, I get jealous when I see other trucks with pretty large rear sliders. I really get jealous when I see the ones that the whole rear window slides down, that would be nice.

Toyota's the only one that offers the full down 1-piece rear window.

Looks great! I also use the slider to haul long objects such as 8 ft 2x4,s etc.

So it looks like they have a power sliding window version as well? This is the first third party compatible power slider I have seen. It says “original window style must be power slider”. What’s the chances it will fit an 2025 XLT Hybrid? I bet where there is a will there is a way.

It looks in the picture like it would be dependent on the the switch and motor you would currently have. People have added them to their non-slider and non-powered rear window. Either from salvage parts or Ford parts. You could even use some other switchology.

This is a game changer. Thank you for sharing!! Strange as it sounds, might have influenced my ordering process 17 months ago if this were available at that point... I like that this 3rd party slider has a slightly larger opening too.

I need a window for pooches and passengers in Mexico. 😅

I can reach it from the drivers seat by tilting the seat back.
