I see some listings near me and wondering,
Is a used maverick above 80k miles worth it ?

Am taking about AWD Ecoboost (not hybrids)
I mean, it's still a small engine. For most of the family cars it's a hard pass. Is it worth it for a maverick ?

Worth what? Value always depends on the price, but clearly these are highways miles which are the best kind.

With today's modern vehicles 80k is nothing to be concerned about. If the price is right,I'd go for it.

I don't see what this has to do with anything? It's not a KTM 690 single. :ROFLMAO: It's going to offer the same overall reliability characteristics as a 2.3 ecoboost, and similar to a 3.5 v6 ecoboost.

Price would have to be right.
I agree with this. The top consideration besides prices is how many miles you're intending to put on it in the next 5 years. If it's relatively low, fine, but if you are then going to drive 80k in 3 years like the previous owners of this truck did, you have a higher probability of needing to repair or replace something expensive.

"Worth what?" Your question without a price is moot. If you mean, are there typically cost associated with a high mileage Maverick, may I suggest that you do some research on axles, 2.0 intake valve (catch can) issues, etc. As to the small engine, the turbo gives you all the power you should need in normal driving IMHO. You would be hard put to find an owner who spends much time with the "pedal to the metal" wishing there was "more".

Well, I'd look into weather the 8f35 has been serviced.

That's the same transmission that's in the Escape, Edge, Bronco Sport, ect...

The filter can't be replaced.

In my opinion the fluid should be drained and filled more often than Ford's recommendation, to get the most slip free miles out of it...

Are these transmissions problematic? I’m new to the Maverick.

Probably all highway miles, as others have said.

I would insist on seeing maintenance records for things like number of oil changes, particularly on a turbo. Also I'd insist on seeing a carfax showing reported crashes (and sometimes maintenance records).

If n/a, I would walk.

I have one and cannot and will not recommend a Maverick or a Ford product.

Yes and no. It's being used right up to its design power spec.

Generally pretty good as long as it's not abused and fluid gets changed regularly, which varies depending on type of use it's employed in.
