I am on a 7 on/7 off schedule with my work and I leave my truck at the airport every week for 7 days. I had deep sleep problems with the factory battery after a couple months of ownership of my hybrid but after throwing in an H5 AGM I haven't had a problem since even in the winter months now.

It's not a battery problem. It's an intermittent drain that Ford has acknowledged. Mine has been fine then all the sudden got deep sleep notification after a decent drive !

There is 0 excuse for people with 2ish year old cars to be dealing with battery issues .

https://www.nhtsa.gov/?nhtsaId=11009437
Well - due to poor charging methods and allowance for how low a SOC can go - it eventually does end up as a a battery problem.

Intermittent drain is it's own thing, that will make an already low battery die pretty quickly.

If you read thru that bulletin they are testing if the battery is a problem on it's own.
That bulletin isn't even about finding the an actual parasitic draw issue on a module.

It’s believed that the modem continues to communicate over the Internet. There may be some other things going on in the background as well, but I’m not sure of.
Yes, and that's why after so many days of non-driving that is shut down, ie deep sleep mode, can't communicate with truck anymore over Fordpass app.

If that deep sleep occurred because of low battery voltage - likely would have already been seen as normal battery saver mode stopping things from running - lights, locks, ect.

Not helpful but I found my car doesn't draw if the alarm isn't armed. Once I lock my car... the battery will be dead in a day.
Actually that is very helpful for you.
Any module can have a malfunction, or a wiring issue that involves it.

You seem to have just proved out and narrowed down where the issue is.
I'd take it in under warranty because their draw research just got much simplier.

May not be the alarm though, could we wiring for the locks.
Either way just narrowed down the options for them to search for.

I’m curious to know if a continuous WiFi connection has been ruled out.
I also have had battery issues but not since i turned off FordAp, turning off WiFi and turn off the radio before i turn off engine BUT my wifi is always turning itself on randomly which is weird. Ford dealer said after 3rd battery that they had a "bad" batch. After 3 days sitting in very cold snowy weather she started right up with dome lights on etc yesterday which i was very happy with. Anyone else have wifi turn back on by itself just wondering, thanks

2024 shouldn't have WIFI. My 23 didn't.
They are referring to the fact the trucks have WiFi radio for infotainment center updates.

They just don't use that WiFi radio to provide wifi to passengers with the ATT cell connection being the backhaul anymore.

And while you can check the logs to see last time it checked for an update, that isn't supposed to be frequent, and it disconnects when done.

Or supposed to - but in the world of things that can go wrong - it could.
I disable WiFi auto-connect and updating. Because not likely to have anything at this point for the infotainment center.

To test if this is a problem - truck would need to be at home with option to connect enabled, one would need access to their WiFi router and status screen that shows live connections, and see if the truck remains connected past like 5-10 min of locking it up.
Would need the MAC ID from the truck's status screen to know which connection it was.

I've heard so many people talk about the 12V battery issue with their Maverick so I wanted to share my results.

I drove to the airport and left my 2024 Hybrid Maverick parked their for 7 days. When I returned, I unlocked it and it started up with no problems. The only difference I noticed was the MPG for the trip home was 33.9 whereas my avg is 46.9 and this trip would have been about 45 MPG given it was mostly highway with no traffic. I believe the reason for lower MPG was due to the gas engine running throughout the trip home to recharge both the Hybrid and 12V battery given that it was parked for a week.

All in all, I can say that if you have a good battery, you shouldn't have any problems with your Maverick being parked for days. All of this talk about keeping the 12V battery charged while the vehicle is parked for days is overhyped. If the battery is good, it should be just fine. I received my Maverick in Dec of 2023, and never had any issues with my battery and never need to replace it. Those who did, probably had a faulty battery installed during production.
Glad to hear you had no problems, but keep in mind your battery is still relatively new. My hybrid's 12v battery didn't start acting up until several months after delivery. My point is that the flooded battery Ford puts in is fundamentally inferior to an aftermarket AGM battery. I believe Ford just miscalculated the drain put on their battery by the hybrids, not to mention all the electronic mods some of us make to our trucks. I would caution folks about leaving their Maverick unattended for several days without having a battery jumper in their tool box. The nice thing about the small engine Maverick is that you don't need a massive amp jumper. Most units will specify the engine size they can handle.

You might want to look into getting an AGM battery replacement if you have not already done so. I replaced my factory with one and all my issues (deep sleep, no interior lights, inoperative smart lock on handles, occasionally not starting) disappeared.

Correct. But, when my truck is not in 'deep sleep mode', you can grab the passenger door handle and it will unlock if you have the key fob on your person. When my truck is in 'deep sleep mode' then I must use the key fob and unlock my truck if I want to access the passenger side door to open.
Which door/doors unlock and when are in the settings. READ MANUAL

Thanks. Maybe I'm not understanding 'Read Manual', but in the three years I have had my truck, when it is in 'deep sleep mode', you CANNOT open the passenger side door by just grabbing the exterior door handle, and the interior lights DO NOT turn on when I open the door, any door. These two items FUNCTION when the truck is NOT in 'deep sleep mode'. I have already had the battery replaced once by my Ford dealership, maybe it needs it again?

I believe that they stop working at 11.8-11.9 v and deep sleep occurs at 11.6 or close but with lights, etc not working you know it's time to get ready for deep sleep. I put maintainer on my battery every 3-4 months and in 34 months have not experienced deep sleep but have seen 1 volt so I put maintainer on. Much easier than dealer appointment. Am headed to dealer now for battery test since I am close to 3/36 warranty expiration.
