Good Hood Protector?

Has anyone found a good hood protector? I like the ones with the 3m tape, and the textured matte black finish. I’ve used the Aeroskin II ( I believe that’s what they are called), but it doesn’t apparently are available for Maverick.

Just curious what quality low profile options are available.

I wanted to avoid the 2-sided tape and all the issues that will eventually cause. I went with the AVS bugflector II because unlike the others it has coverage right to the edge, excellent ratings and attaches using the existing hood pins for the under-edge seal. Including re-attaching the under-edge seal it only takes 20 minutes to install, and can be removed if necessary with minimal effort and no paint discoloration or damage.

I went with the AVS bugflector II for the same no tape reason. It is also a bit wider to cover part of the fenders.

I had my dealer put the "Ford" one on. Know is shiny, but that is what I like. Had similar on my Escape for 4 years and never any issue with the 2 sided tape.

I have the textured deflector and really like the appearance but I did and do have worries about what it will look like down the road. Hoping to not have to take it off anytime soon

Avs bugflector here . so far so good . Bought 2 years ago at realtruck ($40+)with mtc discount . Did have to modify two center mounting holes to line up . Hopefully manufacturer has corrected by now . unfortunately pics not loading correctly lately .

Agree! I know 3M tape is good, but some day, it’s going to have to come off. I love the AVS Bugflector!

I have had the ford one for 2.5 years on my 22 FX4, still looks great and it saved my hood, it has a few marks on it that stones hit and deflects them over the windshield well worth the money can get it from ford and can get at 20/25% off when they have sales.

I liked Weathertechs one the best. because of the way it attached and there is nothing glued to hood only rubber buttons glued to protector.. Glued on protectors can get salt and grime under them which cannot be cleaned. Buy it from Weathertech. Same price as Amazon and Amazon does not make any money. Warranties the same.
