Question on Ford Aeroskin hood protector

Hi All,

Have any of you used the Ford Aeroskin hood protector? I am curios if junk builds up underneath it. It is love bug season here in Florida, and I want to get some protection on there.

I have it installed on my 2025 Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid for just over a year I have no build up and it still look great and I live in Florida as well...

No issues with mine as well. Was the first thing I bought with my points once I acquired my Mav. It has been a little bit more than a year only but no junk underneath. It is quite tight and the 3m tape is great.

It may help the air flow and divert the bugs from the Windshield but my main criteria was to protect the paint on the front edge of the hood, living in Florida I don’t think it’s possible to prevent bugs from hitting the windshield but I usually wash the windshield a few times a week to manage the bug guts from building up

The only long-term problem I’ve seen in Arizona is if you leave it on for five or more years, the paint will fade differently and they’ll be a strip of darker paint underneath the protector

I got a husky one that just clips in and doesn’t stick to the hood, so you can easily clean the area. It also covers the front fenders which I like. Only cost $100 CAD.

It’s HUSKY brand, and it definitely doesn’t stick to the hood, it comes with plugs that are used in the existing holes for the rubber gasket/seal around the hood.
