I guess the 2 frame bolts are for rear bumper crash bar:
5. On both sides.
Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.

Been busy at work and missed this posting. Any idea when they'll be back in stock? Looks like a great solution - would love to get one ordered at the discounted price if possible.
The next batch of products is about to be shipped to Amazon’s warehouse.

My spare is removed currently but it still feels like it will be a task trying to tight them things under there.

Ok so I just spent an hour getting this reinstalled.

4/5, but hopefully this pic / tips help others. ( Apologies for the crappy pic, hard to get good lighting and position the phone to get a high quality photo )

Pink circle is a frame bolt that is not visible here, above the tailpipe.

1. Install Plate 1 and do the yellow bolts into the nut retainers. There were a huge pain to get threaded. leave these loose

2. Add the larger frame bolt in ( circled in teal) leave this loose

3. Put plate 2 up, and make sure the 2 brackets you installed are close if you flex/ move things around. It is easier to readjust these with plate 2 not attached. If needed adjust.

4. Put the 2 orange bolts into plate 2 leave these loose

5. put the brown bolts in, then the pink bolt

If you leave everything loose, you should be able to shift / adjust to get it all lined up. I also unclipped the wires wrapped in the aluminum / heat tape and move them a little higher ( near the teal frame bolt / left brown bolt )

I will probably go back and remove the frame bolts, put fresh green Loctite on and torque to spec if someone shares the right torque.

From a coverage perspective, this is perfect.

I used a 10mm on the small bolts, 18mm on the factory frame bolts, and 19mm on the included bolts. An open ended wrench is needed for one of the brackets as there is not very much clearance for a ratchet.

I just finished mine today. I agree that the bolts should all be left loose until you‘re able to get them all started on threads.
Some of them were a battle to get started but persistence wins out.
I used a stubby ratchet for some of the bolts which made it a little easier to maneuver in tight space.
Not sure if you did, but I dropped the muffler off the rubber hanger which created a lot more room.

Just installed mine on my 23 Tremor. No muffler in the way for me just the factory tail pipe. Install took about 30 minutes, and I followed the directions!!! I used my own sockets 10mm and 18mm. I also used a breaker bar on the 2 frame bolts on step 5. Fit and finish are great. Now I don't have to worry about mud and rocks etc.
Thank you for letting us know we need metric tools for this item.

Mabett Underbody Cavity Shield review:

You can see in the pictures one of the bolt holes does not line up properly making it impossible to thread the bolt into this specific location. What should have been a simple 20 minute install took over an hour due to multiple attempts to shift the plates and make a compromise on alignment that would accommodate all bolts BUT no amount of effort succeeded.
I suppose I could have theoretically bent the mounting bracket to make it work, but I’m not convinced the effort would have succeeded given the tolerances. Candidly, however, that shouldn’t be necessary for a new product out of the box.
It’s a solid solution and seems to be fine without this particular bolt…it just bugs me it’s not filled. I suppose I’ll come up with something small to cover it up, but it’ll probably be fine without it.
So ultimately a 5-star product reduced to 3 stars for the frustration. Your mileage may vary.

I have nightmare flashbacks of those ripping on a previous vehicle, didn't move it, probably should of.

My vocabulary was mostly 4 letter words when trying to get everything to align 😂

Dang, that's a bummer. Does it feel solid as it is, with no rattling or is that bolt necessary for holding it tight?
It feels plenty solid and I don't think it is an issue. However, if I get some good weather I may climb back under and try shifting things around one more time. Either that or take it to a friend with a lift and see if that helps with maneuvering things around, etc.

Sounds like leaving all the bolts loose until the panels are placed is the key.

Ordered the shield but, then I cancelled the order a few days later when I saw the installation details. I don’t have the tools or the kahoonies to remove frame bolts!!! Removing frame bolts seems a bit extreme for this purpose.

First, kudos to Mabett for bringing this to market. I installed this yesterday and am really impressed with the engineering and quality of the product. I did spend a little longer than I would have liked trying figure how and where to hang the little brackets and then getting the little bolts threaded into these to secure the metal plate was a pain as well. However, as others have stated just loosely thread all the other bolts then go about getting these last two lined up and threaded. A scratch awl came in handy for this purpose along with some pushing up on the metal plate and keeping the pressure to start the bolts once lined up (slightly longer bolts would have been nice). Now, I do have a tip to pass along that has not been addressed. I had a hell of a time trying to thread the large supplied bolts onto the cage nuts, I believe you will too but I have a solution. It just came down to the fact that once these bolts are loaded up with the supplied lock washer and flat washer they are just a little too short to catch the threads of the cage nuts no matter how I tried. I noticed that the lock washer was really sprung kind of aggressively and took up a lot of space along the length the already "stubby" bolt. So, I took each lock washer and "adjusted" it by putting in the vice and bending with pliers to take much of the spring out of the washers and "flatten' them out a bit. Once I did that I was able to easily thread the stubby bolts into the cage nuts. If you don't have a vice, you could do the same with two pairs of pliers and apply the same opposing bends on the washers. That's my tip, just "adjust" those lock washers a bit before even wrestling with them under the vehicle.

Just ordered a set. Not really looking forward to rolling around on the ground trying to install it, but hey, that's the price you pay. Thanks Mabett. :like:
Just install mine today. You will need a 10mm and 18 mm socket and rachet. The two large screws are very tight I used a breaker bar for them. Everything fits well. The instruction sheet and video are helpful.

Therefore, in the end, we managed to create it.

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the Mabett Underbody Cavity Shield Cover for Ford Maverick.

I am wondering if this is going to be needed on the 2025 Mavericks.

EDIT: Yes it does. Took the left tail light out to put Lasfit LEDs in and could see the ground.
As soon as it gets warmer & no snow around here, I will be installing.
