Went out of town for about 10 days. Utah isn't that cold, but cold enough. What do I do now? Will it just start if I try to start it? Or will it need to be jumped? I'm gonna ask my dealer to swap in one of the better AGM batteries.

Just keep on keepin on. Eventually you will need to get an AGM battery. First see if your dealership will offer some assistance.

Just keep on keepin on. Eventually you will need to get an AGM battery. First see if your dealership will offer some assistance.
Should I have the 12v swapped for the same type of defective 12v but at no cost to me because it would be under warranty still? Or should I just bite the bullet and pay the out of pocket cost for a better third party battery?

Uh, instead of asking, I would've just gotten in the truck and tried to start it. The Hybrid doesn't use the 12v battery to start the truck, anyway.

I would put it on a battery tender overnight, then reset the BMS the next day. If the battery saver issue persists, take it to the dealer.

There's a software update for this issue that will be available Q1 2025.

FWIW: I had a recall for tail lights or backup camera done a month ago and my original hybrid 12v which I have put on noco genius 5 in the past seems to be charging better with less driving since then. I wonder if I received a BMS programming update snuck in (as a test?). This is on a hybrid that is used about 40-60 miles once every 7-10 days so could be a good one to check out a program update on. If you put a maintainer on yours be sure to leave it on 48-72 hours past charge time to allow optimum maintenance time.

So it started fine, I drove it, the battery saver notification went away. Now it's back again.

So it started fine, I drove it, the battery saver notification went away. Now it's back again.
Once the battery gets low you have to drive for a few hours or more to get it charged back up, a lap around the block isn't enough.

Take it to your dealer and cite SSM53087 for a battery check and replacement if warranted.

I have a portable charger as well. I believe the hook ups to charge/jump start the truck are under the hood correct?

Yes. And using the under hood points eliminates the need to do the BMS reset outlined in the manual.

I just finished charging mine again this weekend. It took from Fri night to Monday morning, but I left it alone long enough for the Noco charger to go solid green. I am tempted to buy another battery, but I'm waiting for the update from Ford.

I might get a better battery, and do the software updates just to be "extra" sure moving forward that it's not gonna be an issue.
