All,

I am just wondering if anyone knows who actually makes the OEM wiper blades for the Maverick. I am not here to start debates on who makes the best blades or the stock ones are crap....or anything like that.... but all I will say is that I have 0 complaints about them.

So I wanted to figure out who makes the OEM blades and if the price was ok, replace them with the same OEM blades I have 0 issues with. If they cost a lot or hard to find, then maybe go with another brand, but I would like to know who makes them first.

With my previous vehicle I would buy the cheapest blades off rockauto and would end up buying a bunch of them because shipping rates are horrible for such a simple package from rockauto. So I would order like 4-5 sets at a time and at the first sign of wear, just simply replace them. (But the blades were also like $3/each.)

So again, if anyone knows who makes the OEM blades, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I understand. Almost all blade manufacturers have ones that will work for the Mav... I am just more of a these are working perfectly fine, ill just replace them with what they are. (unless I start having actual issues with them will I then try new/other blades.)

If you haven't already your best bet is to take the stock ones off and look for a manufacturing code or part number and Google it.

Also look at rockauto.com they usually have some of the best pricing on OEM style wiper blades.

What is your exact question here? Are you wanting to know what brand are on your truck right now? That would be Motorcraft. Or are you wanting to know who actually makes the Motorcraft ones? Possibly Trico or whoever bidded lowest or even multiple vendors most likely.

Why not just buy more cheap ones off rockauto, and replace as soon as there’s an issue? Brand kinda doesn’t matter, as price becomes the driving factor, allowing you to switch them out more frequently. There’s nothing wrong with this strategy at all.

Note—do NOT try to flip the wiper arms out when they are fully down/parked position. The arms WILL hit your hood.

I have no idea who makes the OEM blades for this truck. But I have been very impressed by the ones on mine. IMO, they are the best performing blades I've had on any vehicle I've ever owned or driven.

When they eventually get worn, I plan to just buy replacements from a dealer online or locally. I will not be buying them from amazon. Way too many counterfeit auto parts on there.

I guess both. In general I wasnt aware motorcraft made wipers, so that is news to me if thats what the stock blades would have been from the assembly line. but if anyone happens to know more detail who makes them possibly for motorcraft, that wont hurt either. because I assumed too that it most likely would be something of the lowest bidder for what was placed on them from the assembly line, but wasnt sure what that would have been. thanks for your info tho!

mainly because i havent had any issues with these blades for over a year now and know at some point soon I would need to replace them and i have 0 issues with them. I could start using the cheapest blades I can again, but it would be nice to keep getting these blades again because i have 0 issues with them. not like after a month or two they streak or vibrate across window or nothing...they have 1 job to do and they have done that perfectly fine.

to each their own I guess. I just wanted to know who made them or what the OEM ones were.

I guarantee there is no factory owned by Ford making wiper blades. People seem to be unable to answer your question. A thread on the bob oil forum says it's either Trico or Valeo and you should be able to get the same thing at a Hyundai/Kia dealer.

Pretty much everything on a Ford product is going to be Motorcraft. But Motorcraft doesn't make every single thing. Alot of stuff like fuel injectors, MAF sensors, etc. are made by Bosch for Motorcraft. Same thing for the wipers. But here are the P/N's if you want to go with Motorcraft.

Dusty,
It seems to be a question that's been asked many times before.

Ford Maverick OEM Wiper Blade Manufacturer? 20241104_095347

I can find no definitive answer. It could actually be different companies depending upon when the contracts expire.
If another vendor can meet Ford specifications and come in with a cheaper price per unit. They may get the contract. Then you have different part number, for the same part.
That's how sometimes when you're looking up parts for vehicles, you'll get a discontinued part number and a new part number for the same identical part.
I don't think you'll actually get the answer you want, unless a person from the wiper manufacturer says we make the wipers for Ford or a Ford employee in their vendor contract Department says yes we get our wipers from _________

Good Luck

I've noticed the OEM wiper blades from Ford tend to last much longer than anything you can buy at a store, well over a year in some cases. One time I even had the dealership put on Motorcraft wiper blades on an Escape, they didn't make it quite a year. It would be great to get the same exact blades the factory puts on, but not sure what they are.

I tried this and did not like them. they wore out faster than my stock wipers, and more importantly, they were about 1" shorter each. (yes, I bought the correct sizes. it seems to me if you make a 22" wiper that's really only 21.2" long, you save a little bit of material cost.)

I get the Motorcraft ones from RockAuto & buy multiples for the Mav & Escape. Cheaper than the RainX & Michelin ones at Walmart, plus they are the correct size (length).
