I have 24 Maverick XL hybrid, odometer(2000)
When I am driving, I frequently feel my hybrid ICE start. I was aware that a computer controls the on/off of ICE.
I have been heard pretty low rpm noise (nearly unable to hear this engine noise)
but yesterday, I can hear the engine noise was not quite; actually, I reminded the noise when I stepped gas pedal hardly to reach the 50~60% power gauge (but the power gauge needle indicated 20~30%, and I could hear the similar noise from the engine)
I researched about this issue, and some users said it is up to the engine's RPM and the RPM up to computer's decision.
I want to know if the battery in my hybrid Maverick is low and if the computer recognizes that it needs to be recharged at high RPM.
If it is correct, then why does my maverick frequently stop the ICE when I wait for a traffic signal? (The ICE resumes when I leave.)
