New 2025 XLT Hybrid with 800 miles on it. When going from coasting to slight acceleration and back there is a very subtle rattling sound, like the orbital gearset can't quite decide what to do. Almost seems like I feel a slight vibration in the 'gas' pedal but hard to tell. Anyone else hearing/feeling anything like this? Otherwise drives and rides just fine, averaging 40mpg combined driving.

Edit...Also have a 2024 Corolla Cross Hybrid which doesn't make the sound.
I get this same sound too. Have since I got it. Not sure if it’s getting better or if I’m just noticing it less. But I have to pay attention to notice it now.
2025 hybrid FWD. 6k miles.

Same here. I'm not noticing it as much either now that you mentioned it. Again, it's possible that I've tuned it out as well.

I definitely get it in the brake pedal and hear the noise. I'm just riding with it.

Change fuel brands. The one that you're using is most probably lower octane than the required 87, and is causing some light pinging when the timing is at maximum advance.

that’s not it at all. It’s mechanical from the brake/hf55.

Always have used Costco top tier 87

That's not what we're talking about. It occurs even when in EV mode. In fact that's when I used to notice it more. I never worried about it. I don't think I even hear it anymore.

had an over the air system update a couple days ago. It seems to have stopped the noise on my 25' FWD hybrid.
I just got done driving it and was really trying to listen for it. It might still be there very very slightly.

The best way I could describe the previous noise was similar to a catalytic converter rattle.

May have helped. May be coincidence.I have a 2025 since late May. I haven't had any updates other than a TCU update a few days after purchase. But my noise seems to have disappeared also. I wasn't worried about it because I thought it was the nature of the beast. So I tuned it out. But after others noted that they no longer heard it, I started paying attention. And it seems to be gone.
