That's very kind of your dealer to make you an offer so that he can end up with even more of your money.

Seriously, if what you have is working for you, keep it and save your money. A few tweaks to the features or numbers on a spec sheet aren't going to mean jack once the excitement of a new car purchase wears off.

Yup, makes it easier to steal.
it doesn't because the door proximity and ignition immobilizer are two different encrypted systems.

And let’s not forget that wonderful gasoline particulate filter on the exhaust included on the 25.
I would be stick with the 22 especially if it’s been good to you.

IMO, $1170 dollars a year for minor upgrades, a different engine, less HP, and a different stylistic design is not worth it. I guess, in your case, it *could* make sense if you were going off lease and were going to buy the 2025 outright.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts (& keep 'em coming). I belive intelligent access is when you have the fob in your pocket and you approach, as you get closer, the doors unlock with no interaction on your part. Very good to hear that the ignition system is a different 'near field' system (per some poster) . Again, I'm overwhelmed by all your thoughts... leaning towards simply keeping my 2022. (1) Hate the new look (wtf Ford?) (2) heated windshield was phenomenal in the North (3) LOVE my pseudo-analogue dash taxh and speedo.

Can you cite any instances where this has happened specifically for a Maverick?

it works on Dodge but not Ford. that's the reason all the hellcats are tops of the theft charts and no Ford makes the list at all.

I'm waiting on upgrading my Maverick until I can get a PHEV or pure EV version.
Are you sure you would like a pure EV version. I talked to a Tesla owner and he told me average driving was 220 miles before a recomended charge. He also told me Tesla charging cost went up from 35 cents to 47 cents at Tesla charging stations. I would personally never want a pure EV. This Tesla owner told me he wanted a Maverick hybrid and would never get another EV he said hybrid is the way to go. Straight from a Tesla owners mouth.

Most manufactures have made it possible to disable intelligent (smart key) access when it is not desirable. Like when parked at home or the office for long periods of time. With my previous Toyota's I just had to hit a set of buttons on the fob and boom it was disabled. No idea if Ford has something like this.

It's totally about your own personal usage. I never tow anything. I use my truck around town. My longest regular trips are to my lake house which is about 70 miles. Almost all of my charging would be at home using a solar system on my house.

The main reason I want a pure EV is so that I can charge it with a solar system on my house and then use the truck to power the house if I have an extended electrical outage due to a hurricane.

Just for the record that equates to 180 more per month. It also doesn't give information as to the length of the lease. Which it could be a longer term.

Also he cannot get the exact same build which you have already preluded to. Because your concern was warranty the add on keyless entry is from what I have read is battery operated. Once the battery died it's another fee to add another keypad. Of course I could be wrong on this detail, maybe someone that's more knowledgeable can interject. Definitely the heated windshield has been discontinued. There are though several improvements or differences on the 2025 because many have stated they wished Ford would have kept the knobs.
Bi weekly is every 2 weeks that's 2x45 equals less than $106 a month when averaged over a year. Then again a salesman will tell you anything that sounds good to make a sale.
