Hello! First time truck owner so I have a (hopefully) quick question about the spray-in bed liner that I didn't find an answer to after searching. We are having the spray-in liner done this Friday (9/27). I am hoping to haul stuff, including a lawnmower, from my parent's house to my house (a 6 hour drive) the following weekend (10/6). Will this be possible? I'm not sure if there are any restrictions time-wise (for example, a curing time) that would make this unworkable. Anything else I should take into consideration? Thanks!

Ask here rather than the shop doing the job, makes sense
We set it up through the Ford dealership where we bought the truck so I’m actually not sure of the name of the company that does it. Was just trying to plan ahead as I would be driving to my parent’s the next day. But I have a plane ticket too so can just reschedule it last minute if end up driving. If the answer is it depends on the substance or process they are using then that’s fine. No need to get snarky. Thanks!

I would call your dealership.
Get the name of the shop.
Call the shop and get their recommendations.
I would add.
You may want to ask for a care and maintenance guide for your new spray-in bedliner.
The following is for Line-x
yours maybe different. It will give you a good general idea.

Good luck

IIRC when I had rhinoliner done they just said to give it a day or two. Should be good to go by the weekend. When I picked it up it was dry to the touch.

Incidentally, it was the best aftermarket thing I did to the truck. That stuff is practically impenetrable. I had a truck years ago without it and even with a cap the bed got all scratched up and rusty.

A couple days after I had Line-X spray in a bed liner (I think it cured in 24 hours) I went to Tractor Supply and bought a $40 rubber mat that's been in my truck ever since. My knees are grateful whenever I crawl into the bed to install or remove my soft tri-fold tonneau cover.

Which reminds me... will the stuff you're transporting fit under a cover of some sort (i.e. does the lawnmower handle fold up?) or will you get a cargo net or is everything heavy enough not to be blown out of the bed at highway speeds?

P.S. Remind the dealer to protect the holes in the bed when they spray so you can add more tie-downs later.

I had mine done at Line-x. I waited 4-5 days and have been using it weekly since. No damage at all.

Totally worth the money.

I bought a OEM rubber mat to put down on top of my factory spray-in liner and it works great to prevent cargo from sliding around and potentially gouging the liner. Rough Country also makes a good one. In the meantime you can just lay some moving blankets down under the mower if you're worried about it.

You're good to go after about 48 hours for it to cure out fully

I've had my truck beds sprayed by both RhinoLiner, LineX and now the OEM spray with the Ford logo from the factory in my Lariat.

The product cures in 24 hours so you are good to go. I wouldn't drag an old washing machine across the bed but there is no issue placing items in the bed. You will love the SIBL. Unlike plastic liners or a pad, heavy objects won't indent the finish. It is very slip resistant.

As I said above, about the only thing that will damage it is sharp metal and that can occur at any time in its lifetime. You can drag lumber, tool boxes, and just anything else across the SIBL. It is really durable and the LineX dealer told me they sell the same product to the military

Mine was sticky for about a day but could still have put light stuff in it.
