I bought a OEM rubber mat to put down on top of my factory spray-in liner and it works great to prevent cargo from sliding around and potentially gouging the liner. Rough Country also makes a good one. In the meantime you can just lay some moving blankets down under the mower if you're worried...
I agree it's a not a good design, and I regularly hit the lock when opening the door. Even though I'm aware of the problem I still continue to inadvertently hit the lock when I open the door. Fortunately I'm in the habit of unlocking all doors when I get in the truck.
I don't know about the 2025 models but the best deal I could find for the 2024s locally was right at MSRP. I got mine at Jones Ford in Shallotte. They don't tack on any dealer add-ons or other stuff you didn't ask for up front. If you can get a written offer from Granger below MSRP you could try...
The only "beach" in SC that allows vehicles is a small strip of inlet shoreline down in Port Royal, which is a couple hours from CHS. I think it's called Sands Beach. In NC, the best places to go beach driving are Ft. Fisher State Park and of course OBX.
I hope you didn’t literally drive ON the dunes!
I’ve driven most sections of the OBX beaches and the nicest area is exactly where you were. I haven’t had my Maverick up there yet. There’s a few places I’d be hesitant to test the fx4 even with AT tires.
I have a 2024 Fx4 with 2,500 miles on it and the optional Falken Wildpeaks. I'm showing 24-25 mpg in mostly around-town short trip driving with a/c almost always on. I also installed the plug in ASS eliminator, which might reduce the MPG somewhat. I haven't reset the mileage meter since the...
The locking tailgate might be helpful to keep a casual thief from taking items out of your bed if you have a tonneau or hard shell, but it will do little to deter a thief that wants your tailgate. That flimsy tailgate lock can be quickly punched out with a screwdriver and the tailgate lifted...
I wish the locking tailgate was separate option that wasn't automatically included as a part of any package, like the 300A. Unless you plan to get a hard cover it's a worthless feature, at best, and an aggravation (at least for me) to have to get out the keys every time I want to open the...
Your dealer probably has the best handle on how long it will take. 90 days sounds reasonable to me. I ordered a 2024 EB XLT in October 2023 and took delivery about 3 1/2 months later, and wait times have only gotten better since then. It sounds like you only have a few weeks left for yours to...
Like others have said, there's nothing unfair about your good fortune in getting the truck you like so quickly. Sounds like you were just in the right place at the right time. When I ordered my truck back in October 2023 the local dealer estimated up to a 6 month delivery time, and put me on...
If you're going as far west as Gatlinburg, a nice scenic side trip is Cades Cove. It's only about a 9 mile loop but you can spend half a day or more exploring the trails and checking out the abundant wildlife. Weekends would be pretty crowded this time of year tho.
