Thanks! I will be finding a new caretaker for it, but I need to wait and see when my '25 will arrive before I plan for it's adoption. April-ish? Not sure what to expect for a build date at this point since I ordered much later than many others.
Well, good luck in your venture. I'm sure the next will be just as nice.

I totaled my Lariet and ordered an XLT to save a little as I'm going through a divorce. Now I have the XLT and I wish I would have stayed with a Lairait as I'm missing a lot of the little things.

What "little things"? I'm on budget. My 2013 Ford Edge has 156k miles. Doing well, but after 11yr I'm ready for a change before any tranny issues arise.

Spring the extra bucks for AWD and 4K towing package. SIBL either DIY or factory installed to keep bed from scratches and rust. SIBL will let water in and cause your bed to rust faster. If you like creature comforts the lux pkg is nice I have it on my 2023 hybrid.

Not going with AWD bc I work in auto wrecking yard area. I've needed 3 new tires in 4yrs from schrapenal I seem to pick up.
Same tires, only difference is the cost of AWD. For me it's a no brainier where I live . It's two fold nice for driving in inclement weather, peace of mind and resale. You may want to search how many were waiting and wanting a AWD in hybrid. Definitely get the 4k tow if you don't need it now you may down the road. Lot of posts of others selling their Maverick's because things change and they need the additional towing or more than the 2000lbs.

Some other options to consider are a real spare tire and spray in bedliner.

If your looking for remote start on key FOB, heated seats, steering wheel, and mirrors, power drivers seat you might want to consider the XLT luxury group. It may offer other equipment like dual controls AC, light in the bed and 110 outlet in the bed and behind the seat. You will have to check they always add or delete options on new model years.

Whatever you get, hope you are happy with it and enjoy it for many years. Keep us updated on what you decided on, the progress of your order and especially delivery and post some pictures.

Matching treads. Need to purchase 2 tires, not just one replacement from what I've read and been told.
Some places (like Costco) will force you to replace “whole axles,” meaning 2 tires at a time, but that is because they are scared of the liability.

According to Ford, nothing you have said so far precludes having AWD. You can absolutely have a worn tire in one position, and a new tire of the same size in another. That’s basically what would happen if you pop the spare on after all the normal tires have 30,000 miles on them, right?

Still, if you don’t need AWD, save your money. Good luck with the order.

If you happen to get the moonroof and the sliding back window is available, get the back window. The airflow is perfect with both open when the weather is right. Plus you can stick stuff through the window to haul. Don’t pass up the hitch. I’ve really enjoyed the blind spot detection and the steering that has the bump fences. I have a 23 xlt. 31k miles. Not one problem except a dash that has sounded loose since day 1

I waited 13 months for an XLT and lived with it for a few months while my Lariat came. I came from a Lariat F150 and while the XLT was nice, the color of the Lariat interior (brown) and the trim colors inside were just nicer to my eyes. I wouldn't have ordered a Lariat with the darker interior.

I also appreciate the dual zone a/c because sometimes the other side of the truck is in the sun and I have found what some people think is hot or cool is not the same as me.

Lipstick on a pig? No. I spend time inside the truck and the Lariat is just nicer to look at. Every time I get back in, I don't feel it was a waste of money in any way.

Well, I haven't driven it for a few days but from what I remember the radio controls, the automatic window up/down, the more comfortable seats, the sliding back window the navigator/gps, and I don't remember what else at the moment.

My advice is to get what YOU want and not what forum members may tell you to get. Not everyone needs or wants AWD, 4k tow, Lux package, etc.

If safety is a priority, you may want to consider the Co-Pilot 360 1.0 option. Other than that, the XLT is nicely equipped.

Don't expect to go 11 years and 156k without issues lol.

In all seriousness, get what you want and what you can afford. I'd personally wait for any kinks to be worked out and since you don't need/want AWD, I'd probably go with a '24 instead.
