Give us a list of what options you want and go from there.

1. Get the all wheel drive with the 4k tow pack. I would have purchased those option if they offed it back in 2023. Why Ford just didn't offer that right from the start on their hybrid model was always a head scratch-er. the very hybrid model it was based on ( Escape ) a AWD hybrid. it is always better to have more towing capability then not.
2. XLT ( with the AWD 4k tow pack) will be the trim level to get without hitting to much into the Ford ranger price territory
3. you may want to wait till job to which I believe begins in late November early December to be able to get Pro Trailer assist.

I've had two XL's, currently have a Lariat, and just ordered an XL today. While the Lariat is nice I can't justify the additional $$$.

The 4K tow package didn't make any difference to me as I have several trucks to pull, but the $100 trailer hitch and 4 pin harness was a no brainer.

Refuse to pay more than retail. Don't buy ANY of the dealers upcharges (paint/interior coatings, etched glass, tracking BS, etc.)

Insist on a priority code 03 or take your business elsewhere. They may tell you they can't change it, but they absolutely can. Code 03 is the best chance you have of getting your truck in a reasonable amount of time.

If it is within your means I would add AWD and the 4K tow package to maximize any future resell.

Why Ford just didn't offer that right from the start on their hybrid model was always a head scratch-er.
Supply constraints, we were still dealing with the Pandemic issues.

Get a lariat.
My money would be on an XL Hybrid AWD with 4K towing in Eruption Green. I never understood the rational of paying for the Lariat package on Ford's cheapest vehicle. You still get the same drive train just with bells and whistles. Lipstick on a pig. I would not be looking at the Maverick if I wanted luxury. The Maverick represented a cheap, economical, and versatile daily driver. Technology is great but cheap technology is a disaster.

Make sure to order the Tow Hitch either stand alone or within a package, use to be a $100 option, it’s a no brainer item to get regardless if you plan to tow or not

Ask the dealer to include a battery charger and a jump pack
I've heard other hybrid owners changed the battery out right away with higher quality.

Not going with AWD bc I work in auto wrecking yard area. I've needed 3 new tires in 4yrs from schrapenal I seem to pick up.

I have never understood the argument that you can't get a nice Maverick.

Have you sat in an F-150 XL work truck? Should people only buy XL F-150s and not spend the $30k on the Platinum trim? Because at the end of the day it is largely the same?

Yep - a base XL SuperCrew goes for $43k and the top of the line (non-Raptor) Platinum starts at $73k and you can safely add another $15k in additional options.

While I agree that the XL AWD Hybrid Maverick represents the best value you can get - if you can afford a Lariat and you like the creature comforts - the Lariat trim still represents an excellent value for the feature set you get.

An XL AWD Hybrid 4k Tow w/ CP1.0 and spray in liner is going to cost $32,145.

My Lariat is $39,300.

So for a bit over $7k more I can have every available option where as to do that in the full-size F-150 you more than double the price of the vehicle. $45k.

That is why the $7k jump is an exceptional value, still.

Oh no, are you getting rid of that beautiful Lariat?

Thanks! I will be finding a new caretaker for it, but I need to wait and see when my '25 will arrive before I plan for it's adoption. April-ish? Not sure what to expect for a build date at this point since I ordered much later than many others.

Just wondering, why would the AWD be worse on tires due to road debris?
