I'm curious to anyone else's experience here, this is the first time I've ordered a new vehicle! It has been a long 535 day wait for this little fella', but the thing that bothers me here is, getting the truck mid-December, I'll own it for less than a month and it'll be a year old on paper. How is Ford not giving out rebates on such a wait/the immediate depreciation of the truck? I know I'm not owed anything in this world, but this seems a bit screwy on the deal side.

Probably because the current market value is more than what you paid for it.

Better walk away and order a 2024 next fall.

That's pretty much it. They don't owe you anything. And you'll buy it anyway.

Incentives (rebates) are only used when they need to move product. Mavericks fly off the shelves - er, lots.

So, they have no... incentive... to offer you... incentives... to buy the truck. It's really that simple.

As much as it would be nice if they'd throw in something for sticking in there, of course. :)

Wow 535 days?! Congrats, I agree on paper its already a year old vehicle which sucks in a normal market....but I guess you could turn around and get what you paid or more on the 'used' market, not that you would after that LONG LONG wait.

A like configured 2023 is probably some $2k more expensive. There's your discount.
Good thing I got a 2022 less than a month away from 2023 huh?

I appreciate it! We're heading to the dealership now! I'd make a post asking about others wait times but I'd probably get super helpful responses like the ones above.

Hey, I just paid above MSRP for a '22 First Edition Hybrid that was declined by the person who ordered it. The demand for Hybrid Mavericks around here is insane, and when one comes in, it sells almost instantly, despite the ADM imposed. Part of me HATES that, but I'm also realistic enough to know that if I want one, I'm gonna have to suck it up...

I ordered two Maverick Hybrid Lariat editions (one for me and one for my wife) and Ford Chat tells me those orders are in "unscheduled clean" status. However, I also know that Ford accepted orders for twice as many hybrids as they can build in '23, so I don't have a lot of confidence that my orders will actually be fulfilled. The one I picked up a First Edition in Area 51, so it's definitely "loaded." If Ford comes through with only one of our '23 orders, we're both OK with keeping the Area 51 instead of the one that didn't get built.

And should we happen to win the lottery – Ford actually delivers BOTH our '23 orders – we will just sell the '22 to some other lucky person. And yeah, I know I could take a depreciation hit if/when Ford actually catches up with demand (big "IF" there), but I don't really care.

Meantime, I've got a Maverick hybrid! Wahoo!

I don't think anyone is getting a hybrid for MSRP off of a lot.

I'd say I probably misworded my post originally, it's more of a stab at Ford for not giving old school customer service!

I finally picked up my hybrid today and ended up below MSRP, paid for the truck, taxes and nothing else. Dealership was awesome, but the communication between Ford, the dealership and myself has been damn near nonexistent nor helpful the whole time. Currently I'm still waiting to see if they'll honor $500 cash for veterans. I hope you get your orders. This has been a less than impressive ordeal on Ford's side.

Go online and look at the asking prices for new or used Maverick Hybrids. No rebates are needed. If you drive away for MSRP you'll be making money, not losing it.
