Miss the dial shifter after moving to a Lexus, now I have this big dumb phallic shifter in the way of my USB outlets etc.
You just have to rub the top of it for a bit and it will no longer be way down by the USB ports.

Some things are better left in their traditional form/location.
The first new car I bought was a 83 Mercury Capris RS with a 5.0 and a 4 speed.
Some idiot had decided to put the horn bottom on the end of the turn signal lever. Dumb!

They were going for European style. They realized the error of their ways after a few years.

I remember the first time I tried to use it, I was lucky to avoid a fender bender.
I did love that car though.

I had a '83 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe with the same setup. I never could find it when I needed it.

Eh, I’ve gotten used to the dial, and it’s miles better than the shifter my 2011 Prius had.

“Let’s see, it was down and to the right for EV mode. down and to the left for drive? “

And it was a stick/knob thing right in front of the HVAC control that was easily bumped.

I'm glad someone is expressing their disatisfaction with the dial shifter. I don't know why they don't offer the shifter they have on the Raptor!

We had a Prius, that shifter was one of the things I liked.
We traded for a C-Max, got a real shifter in the process too.

Hate the dial shifter.
Going into park when I want reverse.
Spinning to right when I want reverse.
Having to look down to reach it then see what gear it is in.
Not intuitive at all.
But then, I have been driving manual transmission cars since 1991.
Seriously considering selling Tremor for VW GTI. Or at least just keep Tremor only for long trips with wife.

Since I am wearing pants, I will have to say I like it, but it can use improvement. I have knocked it out of gear only once.

I like it. It takes up so much less space. I think it should have stops when you go to the right or left though. I think it is odd thst you can just keep spinning it once it is in park or drive.

having your shifter on the steering wheel could cause something similar. with the dial being that low profile, there's no way you can accidently fling ur arms up in frustration and accidently shift.

even a standard shifter you can do that. and manual? easily flip a car into another gear if u always waving your arms.

Fine with me, less garbage hanging off my steering column. At least it isn't buried in a few menus on the touchscreen, that's probably next.
