Hey guys, I spent my Saturday at Cordova Dragway here in northwestern Illinois. It was a great time, and I'm hoping we have a ton more Maverick's there next year!

I think I counted 6 Maverick's at the event, but sadly only two did the drag racing! I posted a 12.67@110mph, for the quickest Maverick and second quickest overall for the event. A Fiesta ST ran a blistering 12.46! I didn't get a chance to talk to the owner, but that's moving out!

So, for winning the quickest Maverick, I won a 6' tall trophy! I didn't get all of the prize money, because there needed to be 10 Maverick's racing. They did give me a smaller monetary prize!

I also won a front strut brace from the company Massive, which fit perfectly and actually looks almost perfect for my velocity blue! Massive thanks to Massive for doing all they did at the event as well! They are starting to make parts for the Maverick platform, and currently have suspension components if anyone is looking!

I'll try to help promote it better next year. There were plenty of posts about it all over FB, but there wasn't much chatter about it. Hopefully I can help with that next year!

On to some pictures!

Nice trophy - and a nice ET. I think that would have easily beat my previous F-150. It had a tune and Borla exhaust, but that was about it. I figured high 13s on that.

Damn near perfect reaction time!
Lol, sadly no, I was letting the Mav settle on it's brake boosting. This wasn't a sportsman tree, we just both sucked, lol. Normally I cut under .050 on this style light.

They did give me a little cash, but I look at it as a complete bonus because they didn't have to! The guys from Massive are the ones who did the payout, and they were really cool people! Both the owner, and one of the employees both have Mavericks, and both look way better than mine, hahaha

A stock Maverick is pretty quick off the line compared to many other normal cars and trucks on the road. I have a hybrid and it accelerates like a bat out of hell when I punch it. Nice pics!

Great to hear! I've been battling a head cold & cough for a week now, didn't think making the trip to meet you & the others would have been a smart move.

to me it makes a really big difference if someone developing parts for the Maverick owns a Maverick. they're going to test more, develop more, and deal with issues/revisions/improvements much more than aftermarket companies who don't have a Maverick in-house.

Absolutely! Most people that are building parts for our platform do now have Mav's, although I remember reaching out to some companies early on, and even had one tell me he wouldn't be doing tunes or products for the Mav because it would never be a "performance" platform. And now he is working on stuff for them, lol.
