Job 1 has neither. The two come together. To clarify, is my understanding of the below jobs correct?
I ask because I've ordered the 4K Pro Trailer package and thought it came w/ the Pro Backup Trailer Assist. I wasn't aware of the Pro Trailer Hitch Assist. I just placed an order on 19 Aug 2024. How would I know if I got the discount, i.e., I'm in Job 1? I assume, due to the timing, I am, but would it show up somewhere on an invoice?
- Job 1 = Pro Backup Trailer Assist
- Job 2 = Pro Backup Trailer Assist AND Pro Trailer Hitch Assist
The dealer told me the factory in Mexico hasn't even begun retooling yet, and I'm looking at six months before I'll see the truck. So, by that logic, I would be bumped to Job 2, right?
If I'm in Job 1, you better believe I'm going back to the dealer tomorrow and discussing it with them.
It's a fine line between adding in tech features and trying to keep it at a price point enough below the Ranger or other comparable vehicles to keep it attractive to the buyer. There's already been a ton of complaining about the significant Maverick price increases since the Maverick was first released, and adding more tech features just increases that cost even more. If you consider adding folding mirrors, would you add auto-dim rear view and side mirrors, rear seat heat/ac vents, rain-sensing wipers, OnStar-type emergency assistance, BlueCruise, vented/cooled seats, real leather, etc.? Every one of those tech or comfort options adds to the cost.Just found out none of the Mav's have power folding mirrors. I'm a bit disappointed. You'd think with all the other options on the 25's they would have added that on the upper trim models by now.
Job 1 gets neither feature. Job 2 gets Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Pro Trailer Hitch Assist. Standard on Lariat, Tremor, Lobo 702A. Not Available on XL or XLT. It is not a part of 4K Tow Package. Job 1 production starts November 11 with order Scheduling starting in September. Job 2 production probably stays in January with order scheduling starting in November. To clarify, is my understanding of the below jobs correct?

Yes please on all those other options you listed for me. Put them as separate options or a lux package. I'm not saying they should be standard but they should be offered as an option. Or have a "Platinum" model. If someone like you wants the standard Lariat you'd get what you want without paying the premium, and those of us who want all the bells and whistles would have an avenue to get what we'd prefer as well. It's a fine line between adding in tech features and trying to keep it at a price point enough below the Ranger or other comparable vehicles to keep it attractive to the buyer. For me, I'm really looking forward to my '25 Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid as a replacement for my '13 Frontier that gets poor mileage, is RWD without much highway power, only really seats 2, not much room for luggage in the cab, doesn't do Android Auto, and doesn't have any lane watching, collision avoidance, or adaptive cruise. This Maverick will be the most expensive vehicle I've ever purchased, but I'm looking for something that'll last quite a few years as an all-purpose vehicle for light hauling, weekend road trips with my wife, etc. so am willing to pay for what it has to offer. I'm not interested in a new Ranger/Frontier/Tacoma for cost reasons to get the tech features I want, and also they've gotten so big that they're not compact trucks anymore, won't fit in my garage well, and aren't easy to maneuver in tight parking lots.
Go find another dealer. And make sure you tell the current dealer that is what you are doing. Let them know why you are doing it. A Sales Manager not knowing the order banks are open is unacceptable.Just tried to place an order today and the sales manager said to print out my build and he will let me know when the order banks open......
How hard is it for a dealer to cancel or really just hold an order I made on the 19th of Aug so I can be on the Job 2 list? I'm told the $500 deposit is non-refundable, but that's if I backout entirely. I just want to wait for job 2.Job 1 gets neither feature. I'm waiting to hear back from my dealer about this as well. I went with a loaded Lariat and I want ALL the advertised features. How hard is it for a dealer to cancel or really just hold an order I made on the 19th of Aug so I can be on the Job 2 list? A dealer can cancel an order in 2 minutes. Real easy if they want to do it for you. The deposit is up to them. They probably have no clue why you are wanting to delay your order. Maybe if you have that conversation with them, they will understand. How hard is it for a dealer to cancel or really just hold an order I made on the 19th of Aug so I can be on the Job 2 list? If you want to take the word "prioritized" literally, if they have 99% of their Maverick orders at a "better" priority code than yours, then Ford will look all all those other orders first before looking at yours. But if Ford doesn't like those other builds or isn't looking for those trim levels/engine type for their schedule, they might still grab yours.....it is a risk.My Dealer said they prioritized my Maverick for Job 2. I'm not sure how that works but I have in writing where they said my Maverick will be Job 2 with the Trailer Assist features. I'm not taking a Job 1 Maverick without those features.
Update: dealer says their Ford rep says that because the pro trailer assist is standard on the Lariat, Lobo, and Tremor, production will be held in the queue until the feature can be installed.I'm waiting to hear back from my dealer about this as well.
