My dealer is saying any unit ordered as of today or back to 8/1 will be a "Job 1" build.

That's pretty lousy, I was expecting to have the feature that was advertised on the new model year when I ordered it. Why on earth authorize building the 2025 Mavs before all the features can be incorporated? That's sure to irritate more customers than just me.

I definitely see a lot of irritated customers. They wait 5 months or more only to be missing that feature when the truck finally comes in. My dealership didn't even know about the difference until I mentioned it to them and they followed up with their Ford contact.

All these AWD Hybrids (predictably so).....feels like I'm signing up for another huge wait.

I'm my dealer's first 2025 order and they have always had allocations for vehicles when ordering (Broncos and Mavs) so fingers crossed.

But I wouldn't mind job 2 for the pro trailer, just to have it.

I ordered the same Maverick Package.
Ordered mi0ne on aug. 3rd (Saturday) got my eMail from Ford on aug. 15th (at 10:00 AM as well !!!)

Contacted my dealer. When the build gets approved if it's not a "Job 2", then they will cancel the order and reorder when the feature is confirmed to be available. I'm anxious, but I have a lot of patience at the same time.

November is job 2 order bank opening.
Ok, but my dealer is saying some "Job 1's" may get bumped to "Job 2" Are you saying that's not a possibility given your knowledge and experience?

It is possible. Job 2 will start on a specific date. If yours get scheduled after that date, you get Job 2, and get ProTrailer stuff.
That is what kind of happened in ‘22. By the time mine got built it was after Job 2, which is where they removed the number readout on the HVAC dials. It got scheduled after Job 2 date, so gotJob 2 configuration.

I suspect all current orders will get schedule as Job 1, just my guess.

Also realize the current MSRP supposedly is $300 less because of no ProTrailer; call it a Job 1 price. Based on that, Job 2 MSRP price will go up $300. Which is typical for Ford to do. It isn’t clear how price protection will work in this case though; I don’t believe Tim @fordvideoguy got a clear answer from Ford on that.

Did anyone else order 8/1 and NOT get an email?? I have a sales code and order number from dealer but no confirmation email. Called Ford Corporate and provided my info, they confirm order in system but an email would make me feel much better!! I even had them read my email back and it matches. Weird...

Depending on their allocations and the orders they have some of their orders could get scheduled once job 2 starts to schedule. I'm being told that job 2 ordering and scheduling will start in early November. If your order doesn't get scheduled by November then it will probably be a job 2 build and get the PTBA and PTHA. If it gets scheduled in September or October then it will be a job 1 and will not have the PTBA and PTHA.

So, the Ford.com builder shows the Pro Trailer feature for the 2025 model year build...

Ford Maverick 2025 Maverick Order Confirmation Emails Are Out! pro trailer

Isn't relying on the dealer to make sure the customer is informed that a major new feature for the 2025 model year WON'T be included with their vehicle a little sketchy, especially when they can SEE it present on the builder? There will be many people placing orders that are expecting the Pro Trailer function and not getting it. That seems like a recipe for a lot of unhappy and disappointed customers. Why separate the builds like this? Would Ford at least offer a free addition to Job 1 builds post delivery if the customer desires the feature?

The "actual vehicle may vary" verbiage is doing some really heavy lifting in this case, most would expect that to apply to minor layout changes or color variations, not entire functions being removed. Suddenly your vehicle doesn't have an infotainment system, "actual vehicle may vary 🤷‍♂️"... there's no longer a rear seating area, "actual vehicle may vary 😏"... entire vehicle is now a 1970s air-cooled VW clown car, "actual vehicle may vary 🤡."

To clarify, is my understanding of the below jobs correct?
  • Job 1 = Pro Backup Trailer Assist
  • Job 2 = Pro Backup Trailer Assist AND Pro Trailer Hitch Assist
I ask because I've ordered the 4K Pro Trailer package and thought it came w/ the Pro Backup Trailer Assist. I wasn't aware of the Pro Trailer Hitch Assist. I just placed an order on 19 Aug 2024. How would I know if I got the discount, i.e., I'm in Job 1? I assume, due to the timing, I am, but would it show up somewhere on an invoice?

The dealer told me the factory in Mexico hasn't even begun retooling yet, and I'm looking at six months before I'll see the truck. So, by that logic, I would be bumped to Job 2, right?

If I'm in Job 1, you better believe I'm going back to the dealer tomorrow and discussing it with them.
