I found their address and phone number on the website. Somethings wrong here.

This site is a standard build site. It is a work in progress. My own business site looked like this until it was fully operational. Someone is building the site as we speak. So the addresses and phone numbers etc will be generic until completion.

My site was exposed to the web while under construction. I don't think they are ready to sell the product just yet. With that said, the pricing may be generic as well. This is definitely a wait and see.

There is nothing "petty" about observing that their website is shit and then making a cautionary comment about it on our little community forum. It's hardly picketing in front of their business with a bullhorn.
Isn't slapping a sus label on a business online in a discussion forum highly relevant to their product similar in effect as picketing a brick and mortar?

so.. you're just screaming at the sky now, or are you saying you really want my comment and others moderated out because we dared have an opinion/observation?

this place is better than FB. you can't accumulate knowledge in FB groups, nothing sticks around and the same question gets asked 10x more there, than here. Facebook is littered with real scammers, and this place is pretty close to devoid of them.

you just took it real personal for some reason, and your standards of how someone should research a new thing vs just reading what the vendor has published themselves are pretty unrealistic. (I didn't make the incomplete website.)

I not sure I agree there ever was a time when the internet wasn't about money. probably before Google ads?

For years Tacoma owners have used a seat delete kit from an outfit called Goose Gear that looks a lot like this product. Price is about in line with Goose Gear as well. Too rich for my blood but the Goose Gear kits seem to get good reviews.
Personally if I pull my rear seat I'd probably just get a good sheet of 3/4" plywood or Aspen pine if it's available that big and DIY it, but not everyone has the tools or skills.

Some Taco owners found a tool box from Home Depot that fit in each passenger footwell that was the same height as the seat support frame then just cut plywood to lay on top of it.

Is there a thread on how to remove the rear bottom seat cushion? I have a pet seat cover with a ridgid bottom that acts as a seat extender and is rated for 400 lbs. If I can get the rear seat bottom out I'm gonna try this first as the support straps look long enough to hang that low.

Preach.
Your time spent in this thread has been... constructive.

By your logic someone who starts a website for potential sales should then ignore said unfinished website and potential customers should turn into investigative journalists surfing social media sites for correct info that isn't linked to the most important part of said business.

It's making sense why your venture with DD didn't work out.

This. That's all. It's not that serious.
And even if they don't finish it, it's just a little sus currently i.e. a risk. That's all.

One thing I saw was the return policy. They will "gladly" refund the money after they deduct for the shipping both ways, but no indication if they are providing a pre-paid shipping label or what. So you you'd pay for return shipping and they would deduct it as well lol. Nah. No indication of current stock, estimated arrival etc etc. It's a sus unfinished or low effort site.

And there just isn't enough info, and nobody knows the person selling. For all we know it's a cash grab site and anyone with a brain would know that after a seller on here dropped off the face of the earth, that it's not worth it based on what we currently know and see. Price is irrelevant at this point.

I found their address and phone number on the website. Somethings wrong here.

That's hilarious. I wish my phone number was that cool.

Only $800 more than it’s worth.
I'm sure it could be done. But you have to factor in it's their time, their design, their effort. Even if you could build it for $300 or less, would you sell it for that much if selling them was the goal?

Didn't think so.

I agree with you on that but, with the current under seat storage area combined with a low cost of seat cover can accomplish much the same.
If I needed a hard surface protected storage are I would put the $1,000 towards a bed cover, just me.

People in here trying to defend the janky website and lack of business details under the guise of, "They are still working on it. It's in development. It's....." need to understand that they are actively taking orders.

An unknown company that hasn't taken the time to complete their website, which can be done with myriad of online drag-and-drop platforms, Square Space as an example, but is actively taking money for an unreleased/in development product is suspect.

Do you know what else is suspect? The fact that none of the photos show the compartments open. The edges of it are completely unfinished. The California Secretary of State has neither Pohoda, Pohoda Design Emporium, or Seat Delete registered as a business. The address is just a generic and large office building. There is most certainly no manufacturing happening in it.

The only thing not suspect is the pricing. A little high, but not crazy. HexPly is about $150 a sheet on the cheaper end. The hardware used on it isn't cheap either. Then you have milling, assembly time, etc. I am going to guess that they can be $300-$500 into each one of these.
