Here's one you won't like, occasionally my doors lock when getting out of vehicle when it's running, locked my dog in truck once always leave a window open now.
Don't forget your key code and don't leave phone in vehicle like I did.
Has happened to me twice 😕

This not my first new Ford but found out that the tag on each switchblade key with the bar code & 5 digit code can be used to cut a new key. I thought it was just some dealer inventory tag and tossed em in the trash, then a few hours later read that fun fact and fished em out. Might never use it but put it somewhere safe.

And someone in another thread suggested an Iron Flask brand 24 oz stainless steel thermal bottle for the door. Ordered one off Amazon and they weren't lying, it's such a perfect fit it literally snaps into place and does not rattle or slip out when empty. $26 is a fair price for something that can also carry hot coffee and comes with a sippy straw lid for water and a regular screw on cap for hot liquids. Twighlight Blue matches the denim interior pretty closely and there's a couple dozen other colors as well.

You’re correct

Good to know. I would feel guilty though if I didn't remind members to try to limit their use of plastic water bottles due to the recent research about how micro particles of plastic are finding their way into our bodies. I think a better alternative would be stainless steel. Surely, someone here has a link to one that would fit.
I understand your concerns Dad. I'm all for recycling and a clean environment but good luck finding a reusable SS water bottle that is only 2.8 inches in diameter and that doesn't use any plastics in some form.

Interesting. What's the diameter and asking for the other poster, is there any plastic in it?
It is only 16 Oz and the only thing plastic is the screw on top.

I copied the "points" to a doc. file for future reference...
Q. Where is "Point #13".??

Jerry
That would be unlucky. Seriously, I think there's ample additions to this discussion to get us up to 20 or more.

Not exactly, "ambulance mode" allows the regular vehicle key to be removed from the ignition without shutting off the engine. The vehicle can be locked while running while the EMTs are away, but if someone breaks in and the key isn't reinserted into the ignition they can't take the vehicle as it will shut off if the brake is pressed in order to shift into drive.
So hybrid as a generator mode. Would love this for camping got XL so key

another secret is that if you are driving and someone switches your selector to park it does go into park, but first kills engine power and coasts to a stop...2L ECO w/4WD

If you take all the air out of the tires, you shouldn't drive it until they get re-inflated. ;)

Had no idea the key tag was used for anything other a dealer ID use. Thanks for the tip.

I knew someone would find a stainless steel container for that door spot. Good hunting!

When going down long steep hills the hybrid uses battery charging to provide downhill resistance / braking. When the battery gets fully charged and cannot provide braking to slow down, the engine will come on to provide engine braking with fuel turned off. The engine provides braking like a Jake Brake, essentially an air compressor to slow you down. Built in exhaust brake sounds weird but works great. Well done Ford!
