Going through some old notes and saw this. Most likely from an old thread, but I thought it worth repeating for any new members.

10 Secrets of the Maverick

1. You are not to tow anything until you drive the truck 1000 miles.
2. The manual release for the fuel door is over the driver's side rear wheel
3. For best performance, Ford recommends using a high-octane fuel with an octane level of 91 or higher.
4. The oil in your truck coming from the factory is "slime" green.
5. Your truck has a secret setting for "Police Dark Mode".
6. Your truck has a secret setting for "Ambulance Mode".
7. If your infotainment screen freezes, hold down the volume and skip forward button at the same time for 5 seconds and it will reset the screen.
8. The rear head rests block about 40% of your rear vision via the rear-view mirror. Remove them for a much better rear view.
9. There is no light in the glove compartment, but the passenger side overhead light will illuminate the interior of the glove box just fine.
10. The mirror visors have lights.

12. The wires in the plastic bag under the backseat or in the glove box is for the 12v power at the back of the bed on either side.

Here's one.
If you put the truck in park on a hill, it will automatically set the e-brake for you!

The hill must be fairly steep.

Excellent Dad. This needs to be made a sticky and maybe an excel spreadsheet like Forscan. My mind is churning and it honestly hurts my head.

16. Driver's side door lock that gets magically hit when exiting the car
17. Fuse 11 (Telemetrics) can be removed, and the truck still functions fine, just can't call home

To add, premium for peak performance on Ecoboost, not Hybrid.

While in "R" if you stop and open the driver's door, the vehicle will shift into "Park".

Did you mean to say Park will engage? Not brake.

While in "R" if you stop and open the driver's door, the Parking brake will engage.

Also (at least in hybrid lariat) if you put in park and then set the e-brake you can exit with fob in pocket without double honk until you shut driver door. Good for quick exit to open gate, mail box, or ?

Your rear headrests must be much larger than mine.

#8 was a must for me, it was like trying to look around somebody’s fat head. I think it looks better anyway without the rear headrests.

Headrests can fit behind the back seat so they're there if you need them (rarely have anyone in back) - and they do block a good bit of visibility.
