Just checking in again for those curious - Ordered Thursday, Confirmed via chat Ford had my order Sunday, still no email today.
I chatted with Ford.com, and they said I had to have the Order # from the dealer. Did you already have the order #, or was Ford.com able to provide it for you on the chat?

Anyone can answer; doesn't have to be PTLove. :)

they can still look it up without the order number..just harder for them to do it

Here is where it is on an order preview sheet (this is an example from a 2022 model year I think). Tell them you want it for your records. This is the info you need to provide the Ford Chat or Ford Call Center people if you want to check on your order.

Thanks. My salesman sent me the order sheet, so I was able to get confirmation from Ford Co.

The receipt date is a good sign. It means it was more than just a preview of an order.

The receipt date is a good sign. It means it was more than just a preview of an order.
But is the receipt date normally the same as the day the order is placed, or is it normally the day after? I ask, because I was at Ford at 9:00am on 8/1 to make sure I got the order in as close to the front as I could, but I'm wondering if they waited until the next day to enter it. That would be disappointing.

But if your receipt date is 8/2 and you ordered it on 8/1, then I can presume the receipt date is usually the day after the order date.

Both my preview and receipt date was 8/1/24 on my original order but I changed the color yesterday so now it has a preview date of 8/6/24 and a receipt date of 8/1/24.

I thought other posts (Fordvideoguy) said order banks opened around 4pm EST on 8/1. My 25 order was show Preview 8/2 4:02 pm and Receipt 8/2. Sales mgr advised it was COVP.

You are only really behind others at the same dealership who they entered before you. Which may be nobody. You might still be the first. Remember that allocations and priority codes are king. If your dealer only has 2 allocations in a month, then yes, your precise order time might come into play. But only if the dealer put all the orders at the same priority code, or put other orders with a better code than yours.

For a point of reference, I think ford video guy mentioned last night that they don't have a ton of 2025 orders yet. Less than 50 if I recall. It is still really early in the game though obviously.

I can promise that a date of 8/1 versus 8/2 will make VERY little difference in the eyes of Ford Corporate. If you are worried, ask your dealer if they would be willing to change your priority code to anything "lower" than what they use for other orders. The lower the number the better. Default is 19, can go as low as I think 3 on the dealer side. I think a 2 is reserved for Ford Corporate use. You want as close to a 2 as you can get, but anything with a lower number than their other orders is all that matters.

There are so many factors that go into getting your vehicle getting scheduled, the biggest is probably allocations, if you dealer doesn't have any then all the rest doesn't mean much. The priority code is really just a internal dealer thing, just because you might have a low priority code doesn't mean you will take priority over someone that has a higher one at another dealer. I remember Tim Bartz saying some dealers put all their orders in with the same priority code. I've got a priority code of 4 which is pretty darn low but if everyone else at the dealer is 4 than it really doesn't mean anything. I was the second Mav order at my dealer on 8/1. I've seen now with my Bronco and '24 Maverick orders it truly is a crap shoot. Also consider any constraints that might pop up and leave things like splash guards and air deflectors off your order, things that can easily be added by your dealer or you.

Thanks. I did remember the priority code being an issue when I was waiting for my MY22 to be built, but I didn't know/remember all that you just said. Thanks again.

I have noticed a trend already emerging for the 2025 orders. Seems like nobody has enthusiastically posted a screenshot of their order confirmation email, and a few folks have either asked "Has anyone gotten a confirmation email" or tangentially commented on someone else's post that they have not seen theirs come thru yet (although many of those folks may have JUST ordered before commenting).

Since I love data, vote on the poll with your experience ordering a 2025.

Yeah, I ordered my 25 from him and he is the one who entered my order on 8/1. ;) He is also the one who I got my 23 from.

I made this thread at a time/date when it was not known that there were email issues. Him confirming is just icing on the cake!
