Original Ford Confirmation Email - how long after order?

I ordered mine about 3 weeks ago and still have not received an email from Ford saying it's been ordered. Called my dealer to ask about this and he said don't worry about it. Could take a while... Then I read on here that people are getting them as they order. Going to just believe what they are saying and let it play out.

Too many factors involved with this one…engine choice? Trim? Packages? Dealership allocation? Some people who ordered hybrids have been waiting 6 months. For me personally, it took about 3 weeks to get a build date email

Thank you, I ordered a Lariat hybrid, with the upgrades. Looks like 6-7 months from Oct. 6 confirm date.

Mine was instant. I watched the entire ordering process.

same here. I sat with 1 guy as he entered all my info from build sheet I brought with me into WBDO data base. Included DL info, address, email, etc. Then he showed me the screen and had me confirm everything entered. Then printed it out and gave me a copy to confirm again- all correct Then walked over to my sales person and gave mostly the same info and they copied the order sheet, my DL, made sure my Loyalty rebate was attached to my order and built a folder of all paperwork, walked it over to finance guy to reveiw, then walked it over to receptionist/admin person. Came back and said "all done, now we wait". I asked when I would get email confirmation from Ford, and was told the admin had to enter into another system when she had a chance. There were zero people in the showroom but us- so I asked if she could enter it now since she wasn't busy. He went over and asked her and came back to sit down- and within 5 minutes my phone buzzed and I had the official email from Ford confirming my order had been placed. So then I asked if they were going to give me a signed Buyer's Order with all details including OTD price including tax, registration, etc. for me to review. He got up and went back to finance guy and came back with order sheet with all transaction pricing including my rebate and had me sign it and made a copy for my folder. No surprises on there at all. MSRP + non-negotiable $299.00 dealer handling and prep fee (includes PDI, etc.) I knew about ahead of time and agreed to.

the only thing I didn't get was the dealer's signature on any of the paperwork we generated, but was assured not needed and I had price protection if MSRP gets bumped in 2022 before delivery and also they would stack any extra incentives or rebates that might pop up before delivery as well. I bought from this exact person 3 years ago and visit often and there has never been any reason to doubt them- so no concerns about a signed buyer's order from them. it's a small town and they are only Ford dealer and built their reputation on their word and fair treatment of customers- so not worried at all.
