Are the Ford emblems on the grill and tailgate illuminated? Also, isn't having the rear lights darkened illegal in some states? If so, how did the Ford legal team let that slide as stock.

No.

Those look to be the same as the black accent package that has been sold with the Maverick already. No big deal; meets all the required regulations.
