Not gonna happen. Much easier and cheaper to do software than hardware and also much bigger profits in selling a new screen and labor to replace it than one knob... since if one function in the whole system fails, you have to replace the whole unit!I really hope that by the time I wear my '23 out manufacturers have gotten over this trend of moving climate and stereo controls to the touch screen.
The loss of the 'analog' gauges, engine power (12hp less on the ecoboost...) is not great from my view. I'm also a fan of the manual fan and radio controls on current generation but would like a bigger screen since the little cubby next to the current one is pretty useless.
In all honesty the dash gauges isn't really useful. The speedometer is redundant since the digital can't be removed, and easier to read, and a tachometer is utterly useless with an automatic transmission, especially on the Maverick since we can't manually shift it.
Good thing with higher prices is that our 'old' ones depreciate less ;-)
