Hi,

Why was the power reduced in the 2025 2.0 EB?

It's an entirely new engine.... Appeared in the Escape last year. Less HP and Torque, but perhaps more useable hp and torque in a lower rpm range? Don't know yet, I guess we will learn. I know some are excited by the tuning opportunities of the new engine as it has better fueling capabilities..

Maybe, but peak numbers occur at the same rpm.

The engine bay is even more spacious now. Based off the posting of https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...cs-order-guide-wallpaper-photos-videos.52370/ with all of the video links at the end, the one by the TheFastLaneTruck guys, actually opened up the hood of both hybrid and EB.

I am unsure if the other videos links did similarly as I did not watch them, but based on the link of TFL truck guys, starting at 17:20 second mark, he opens the EB hood and the air filter location has completely changed, along with what else I am not sure... so I dont happen to know if its a completely new motor, or just a tweaked version of the previous one, but here is the link and scroll to 17:20. They zoom in a bit in the engine bay as well, but looks spacious...haha

It is so when they come out with an ST or Raptor model it will be a bigger jump in HP.... Just a thought.

I wonder if the new intake will work in the current (2022-2024) models? Interesting?

Assuming Ford really did go the dual port route, I can see them be very close hold with that info at this point. It could have a significant impact on the sales of remaining '24 EB's.
