You know what is also crazy? Just like the member who recently put in a 13.2" screen on his Mav....

This new screen is not centered on the dash.....maybe if you can't center a screen on the dash it might be too large.
Ford does try to reuse parts across multiple models. I think the next size up was a 10 inch used on lincoln but it was closer to a 4:3 ratio so not wide enough to fit the hole still. I thought they had a 12.X inch screen somewhere but cant find it. Honesly if it didnt cost so much to buy the screens. Id play around with figuring out the shroud needed to fit it.

who is going to buy an xl awd when an xlt is only 900 bucks more? at a 30K price range it doesn't make any sense to scrimp on an additional 900 bucks.
Especially with the elimination of the orange interior trim and addition of pushbutton start on XLT.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the XLT constraint go up and the XL be almost limited to fleet.

Y'know, with Tremor being its own thing at the top of the stack now I wonder if next year we'll see a Rattler trim for folks who don't want to get forced into the XLT Lux Pkg for FX4.

AWD hybrid is nice along with updated cluster / infotainment sync4 with automatic software updates.

Pretty good pricing as well.

Good luck getting an XL especially in AWD hybrid form.

Some nice advances and a few dislikes - as with any model update.

Likes:
AWD and 4K towing for the hybrid.
13.2" screen
360 degree cameras like my F-150 had
Trailer backing assist / pro trailer
Sync 4
Fog lights on some models
paddle shifters on some models
New colors inside and out

Not to my liking:
Fewer manual controls for climate control (to keep ones eyes on the road, as many controls as possible ought to present a tactile feel, not having to look away)
a few less HP on the 2.0 EB for some reason
No FX4 Lariat, though the XLT trim might have improved enough to make the Lariat less needed
That front end doesn't do much for me, though I could overlook it

I see some new "nanny state" features, more automatic braking/steering assist type stuff that doesn't interest me.
I'm kind of surprised that they didn't throw a 1.5 EB option in there as a very base engine option (or standard on XL). Had that engine in my Escape and it was competent, and got pretty decent mileage.

Overall, I'm glad I got my 2024 and won't be upgrading. I got the 2.0 engine, didn't really want the hybrid (though maybe a few years down the road, I'll go that way). A couple of nice improvements here, but nothing that makes me wish I'd waited.
Largely agree on the likes in this dislikes but I am glad I waited as now I figure I can check out a 2024 and also a 2025 and make my decision. Just looking at the rundown quickly I'm leaning towards an AWD hybrid XLT.

As much as I would love to upgrade to the hybrid AWD. I don’t think I can afford that price jump. I only paid $22k in 2022

At a glance the Lobo packaging seems kind of awkward. Positioned between the XLT and Lariat. A street truck that is the only one getting fog lamps, standard moonroof and power sliding rear window, but no CoPilot 360 Assist.
Looks like it includes CP360 Assist 2.0?
