Yeah, never heard of that tranny. Wonder how new that is?
I'm betting it is still the 8F35....honestly, the current 8 speed in the Maverick is actually a 7 speed because Ford largely locks out (4th i believe, maybe 5th) a gear.

They kinda had me until I noticed no manual HVAC controls. What a dumb idea. Let me just wait 30 seconds for my screen to boot before I can turn my AC back up in a 130 degree cab. How dumb.

There is more to that that can be discussed tomorrow.
Yeah, I assumed they've got you all NDA'd up tight on that until the official reveal since none of the journalist pieces have even hinted at the Lobo's existence.

You know what is also crazy? Just like the member who recently put in a 13.2" screen on his Mav....

This new screen is not centered on the dash.....maybe if you can't center a screen on the dash it might be too large.

Am I reading this right, that you cannot get FWD with the Ecoboost? Not that I would, just interesting.

AWD hybrid + tow is quite tempting...
Nope. Ecoboost is AWD only now.

Some nice advances and a few dislikes - as with any model update.

Likes:
AWD and 4K towing for the hybrid.
13.2" screen
360 degree cameras like my F-150 had
Trailer backing assist / pro trailer
Sync 4
Fog lights on some models
paddle shifters on some models
New colors inside and out

Not to my liking:
Fewer manual controls for climate control (to keep ones eyes on the road, as many controls as possible ought to present a tactile feel, not having to look away)
a few less HP on the 2.0 EB for some reason
No FX4 Lariat, though the XLT trim might have improved enough to make the Lariat less needed
That front end doesn't do much for me, though I could overlook it

I see some new "nanny state" features, more automatic braking/steering assist type stuff that doesn't interest me.
I'm kind of surprised that they didn't throw a 1.5 EB option in there as a very base engine option (or standard on XL). Had that engine in my Escape and it was competent, and got pretty decent mileage.

Overall, I'm glad I got my 2024 and won't be upgrading. I got the 2.0 engine, didn't really want the hybrid (though maybe a few years down the road, I'll go that way). A couple of nice improvements here, but nothing that makes me wish I'd waited.

Disappointing I can't get FX4 on Lariat. Guess they didn't want to take my money!

@fordvideoguy

1.) Also does the BAP only get a decal and black roof? Or does it change the interior seats and everything to black as well? I see the headlights and twilights are already blacked out standard.

2.) Still B&O Audio on Lariat? Any upgrades to that system?

who is going to buy an xl awd when an xlt is only 900 bucks more? at a 30K price range it doesn't make any sense to scrimp on an additional 900 bucks.
The people that brag about buying a base model and then spend double the difference adding on rims and random chinese amazon junk accessories.

It still gets black seats, but the plastic is mostly unchanged from navy blue.
