Did they do the recall on your vehicle?

I just had something similar happen to me today. Battery suddenly died, no hazards, no power to anything at all. Car to car jump didn't work, but a jump starter got me back on the road. Drove to the dealership and as I was pulling into a parking space the steering wheel kept jumping just as yours did. Turned the car off and battery was completely dead again, no lights, etc.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.
I’m currently have the same issue with my 24 Maverick (only 12K miles) and my dealership said that they have to replicate the issue there for it to be covered under warranty.
Here is video of it

I just got an update from my dealership, they said that they haven’t been able to replicate the issue and that they will only hold onto it for another day to further test my truck.
I was told that I’d have to cover all costs. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Not sure you saw this post. Maybe it expanded to 24's for other reasons besides battery, which your's should not have a problem FLA anyway.

Should also call Ford bypass dealer.

I have seen this with other manufacturers that have electric steering. It is VERY dangerous to drive like that.
Thank goodness you have the video. Service Manager should take you in Immediately. Now; getting replacement parts? That may take a while. @Ford Motor Company can you Please assist this?
I've had a couple of vehicles with electric power steering. The "feel" is not the same but other than that, no issues. I actually prefer it for the simplicity.

I called the service advisor and he said that there were no recalls for my specific issue. I brought up the recall that you had mentioned and he told me unless they could replicate it then they can’t do anything about it, I’ve sent him videos of the issue as well

Mention you're having a steering issue, it is a Safety issue, and the dealer refuses to help. Mention you have video proof of the issue.

@LewisD03 sorry you're dealing with this issue.
In case you weren't aware the @Ford Motor Company no longer actively monitors the site. They were last active 01/29/2025. You are better off calling like it seems you already have.
Hope you get this issue resolved.
