That’s what the service manger said also. The battery failed testing, so they replaced it under warranty. No new issues noted.Recall wouldn't cause your battery to drain. All it did is change some variables in the computer. You might have simply lost the battery lottery.
A.S.S? is that something like the A.S.S.U.M.E.?Question: Up until the failure was the A.S.S. operative even if you choose to not use it? The failure of the A.S.S. system was my indication my battery was failing basically from Day One. (It quit working never to return on Day Three). Just wondering. Thanx.

Auto Stop/Start: If the battery is weak it is disabled.A.S.S? is that something like the A.S.S.U.M.E.?
Thank you. I really was totally lost on this acronym........... thanks!!Auto Stop/Start: If the battery is weak it is disabled.
It worked right up to the battery failure.Auto Stop/Start: If the battery is weak it is disabled.
batteries last about 2-3 years, summer (and road vibrations) are the primarly cause of failures and wear - typically you don't have symptons until the colder months where it takes more amps to start the engine - but as we have read and seen that battery can have many other adverse affects even earlier. Eventually you'll need a new one - if you want some piece of mind go and buy a quality new one and put any worries to rest....so...i have read a lot about the "battery" issues and I,me and my MAV have not had any problems.Should I stay with original battery or change up to a better one and any recommendation would be appreciated('22 HYB XLT)
I like Interstate. I’ll get one on the next go. This one was replaced under warranty.I would recommend a non-Ford AGM battery such as Interstate. I bought one at Costco for $170 a few months ago.
Glad they replace it. My dealership didn't even offer to do this. Chaulked it up with my "aftermarket" amplifier set up as being the issue. Even though I told them the battery died BEFORE my aftermarket install.I like Interstate. I’ll get one on the next go. This one was replaced under warranty.
It's a good battery. It is a flooded type and not an AGM, but, it's about as strong a battery that you can get!!Finally had a chance to pop the hood and see what battery they put in. It turns out that they installed an Interstate. Well done, Granger Ford.

Right after I bought my airplane, the Gill flooded battery died. I purchased a Concorde AGM, kept it on a BatterMinder, and it lasted the 8 years I owned the plane, and was still going strong when I sold it. Made me a believer. It's a good battery.
