Those of us who value their purchase and work hard to afford a new vehicle can't understand the way people act who don't care. My wife kept getting white dings from the doc she worked with who would jam her white Suburban against her and let her kids smash the doors open against her car.

My wife asked the doc if she could take more care about this and she was told "It's not like it's something that matters. It's a car, not a human being"

I would love to be in that conversation. Sounds like a license to go berserker mode on the Suburban since "it doesn't matter." :devilish:

But, bigger picture: It matters not if it is a car, human, phone, or french fry. If it is not yours, don't **** with it. As you point out, different people assign different levels of worth to different things. The easy answer, especially if you don't know the assigned worth, is to do no harm. Not sure why society in general does not get that.

Exactly. That doc was a twit and I messed with her. She was always on about tree hugging. I told my wife to tell her I had said that the Suburban 4x4 she was driving was a gas hogging destroyer of our environment and she was a hypocrite for driving it while preaching being green.

The wife let her know what I had said. She initially defended her purchase saying how convenient it was to haul all the kids around. Within a month of that she traded it in on a Subaru lol.

I think In most cases, you should consider it the act of a like minded person who wants to protect his/her vehicle from dings and dents. They park next to you because they know you will be careful and at least that side is protected. Of course, there are those who will do it just to spite you, but most people don"t want to walk more than they have to.
If they were a like minded person, they also would have parked away from everyone. There's a ton of space in that lot. He's either an idiot, or a dick, or both.

Maybe an Ohio thing? I've worked up there and believe it.
Actually a term I learned in Western NC when I was hit by 2 drunk drivers in a span of just 14 months.

They weren't kidding when they said, "every drives drunk around here. Nobody can handle themselves"

That’s a fair point but I think if it were me I would have picked one of the many other open spots in the lot. That said when my wife and I went to Wally World the other day there was a beautiful HPR Mav parked out a ways and I thought about parking our Alto Blue Mav right next to it 😊

One of the few perks of handicap parking is the extra space usually given between spaces. Less likely to get door dings and bumper scrapes.

No kidding, I live on the other side of the mountains (Eastern TN) and I've had local deputies tell me that one in five of the drivers on certain highways are drunk, high, or on meth. Some of these roads are part of my daily commute.

I purposely parked in no man’s land so I wouldn’t be next to anyone. Plus I got a baby to put in the back seat on the passenger side. Came out and saw this d**k face pulled up as I’m walking to my truck. Had to squeeze in to put the baby in the back seat while he was on the phone texting. I’m so done living with humans. Time to move to Mars.

And what makes it even worse it's in the middle of the boonies with truck parked within lines plenty of spaces available but no it has to be pasted against passenger door. This is why I prefer animals to humans

To be honest, it looks to me like the Maverick is somewhat hogging the left line of his space, and the Ram's rear wheels are pretty centered in his space with just the front being too far to the left. It could just be the camera angle though.
Not justifying anything, just making an observation.
Are you blind? Maybe you should OBSERVE how the Maverick is perfectly centered in their parking spot and the RAM has their tire ON THE LINE.

Glad I got old and qualified for a handicapped sticker. Lots of space, but every now and then you get an old jerk that still can‘t park in the center of a double sized space or is too lazy to store a cart properly. Life goes on, I suppose.
Don't get me started on shopping cart etiquette. People are just too damn lazy to put them in a stall.
