I love my Maverick, but now I'm comparing Ford and Toyota corporations. If I brought in my vehicle to Toyota for a recall, they paid for a rental car. Not Ford. Their recalls will be my inconvenience. They want to keep my 2024 Maverick Lariat ecoboost for 24-48 hours to complete this recall. It may be longer while they check out my intermittent touch unlock feature on my door handle. I'm very glad now that I got the bumper-to-bumper extended warranty. I've never had a vehicle with only 814 miles on it have to go in for a recall and another problem.

24-48 hours to complete the tail lamp recall does not seem right. I called my dealer today to schedule my recall and was told to expect about a 45 minute wait time. That is just about enough time to raid the free coffee and donut bar. :ROFLMAO:

Our friends own a Rav4 hybrid in to have the rear hatch replaced and got the last loaner available. People behind them either had to reschedule or get an Uber. Luck of the draw I guess.

I was pretty surprised by that timeframe. Maybe my local dealer is understaffed or overloaded. Heck, I didn't see donuts the last time I was there. Toyota had donuts, lol.

My dealer picks up my truck at my workplace and has it back a few hours later for every recall to date. They are about 20 Miles away. Thank You Woodstock Ford in Ontario Canada.

I have a 2023 Maverick XLT Ecoboost engine. I got the notice on the app about the recall for the tail lights and looked it up on the NHTSA page to make sure with my VIN. I have an appointment Monday to get it done. My dealer said, unlike the last one for the turn signals, that they couldn't do this one with a mobile visit and it has to be brought in. Hopefully it's only a short visit and not like the long one you were told.

Seems to be rare here in California for dealers to offer or do this type of service. One dealer in LA does it. But I live out of it's service range.

Hello! Send us a private message with your VIN and current mileage. Allow me to see what I can do to assist. Thanks!

I also do mobile service with one of the many Ford dealers near me. It works great. I book the appointment request online, and get a confirmation by text message. The Ford dealer has relatively new employees trained up for doing all the software recalls, simple repairs and maintenance work via mobile service vans. Unless you have something major, my $0.02 is to recommend mobile service. Easy peasy. Convenient. No waiting around at the dealership. Our dealership even texts you when the service van is headed to your house. Most of the local Ford dealers near me also have "Quick Lane" which is for basic repairs done at the dealership. As far as I can tell, none of our local Toyota dealers provide mobile service at all. Ford seems to be significantly ahead of Toyota on usage of technology at the service department, and certainly way ahead in terms of fuel economy.

I haven't seen donuts at the dealership I work for since someone gave us a 1 star Google review for our powdered donuts having too much sugar. They'd better not take our coffee away next.

The recall should take 15-20 minutes to complete. It pays .3 hours. If they are saying that much wait time they must be back logged. Schedule a time to come back at a time that you can just wait for it to be done. If that doesn't work have them have a mobile tech come and do it at your house or work. The door handle might take them longer to diagnose seeing as it is an intermittent issue and they have to be able to replicate it in order to pinpoint what is actually causing the issue.

My dealer gave me a loaner while installing my tonneau cover.
