If you order now you will probably have a 4 month wait until you get it. With that being said in about 2 months Ford will show off the new Maverick refresh. Should be able to start ordering the 25s in July.

good information thank you!that correct as far as I know. from the start they had supply chain issues and fairly early in MY22 they switched from the dual-zone climate control having temp displayed to the current plain knobs. (oops, there's another change I forgot.)
it could possibly be that a very early production '22 lariat lux has rear glass that actually has defroster elements in it. the way it was intended to work was linked to the outside mirrors. when those are on, the rear glass defrost was to be on.
I see you're from near me. I did not get the turbo, but I felt the base was adequate for me. Plenty of power to get me up that steep pass on I-40, loaded down with bikes and camping equipment for 3 adults. I loved the handling and smooth ride, it felt luxurious. Not a sexy engine note though. I really liked the rolling tonneau cover, but it does eat into top bed space. You can fit 4+ bikes in the bed without it, 1 or 2 with. The tech is the best I've used. And the integrated roof rails were a plus because I have paddleboards.OP, don't forget the 2025 Santa Cruz update. They really did a nice job inside. Alas, still no hybrid. But I have a feeling Hyundai might have a hybrid and or BEV SC up their sleeves soon. Just a hunch.
If you've lurked here as you say, you already know all the pros and cons of the Maverick hybrid. I'd be really interested in your experiences with your SC, as I came -this- close to buying one. And it's still on my list if I don't like the 2025 Maverick refresh.
Really only one thing held me back from the SC. I wanted the extra power of the turbo engine without the DCT. Aside from that, I considered and still consider the Maverick and SC to be running neck and neck. I'm the odd man out on this forum because of that.
You misread my posting. I wanted the extra power of the SC turbo engine over the base SC engine. I definitely could have written that more clearly.you gotta be kidding me. I've driven a SC turbo and it is not noticeably faster than a Maverick because the small power advantage is lost by the vehicle weighing on average 400 pounds more than a Maverick awd. the dual clutch transmission is balky which is entirely hyundai's fault - I've had dual-clutch sequentials in 2 previous vehicles and they were GREAT. it's not the technology, it's that specific application.
then you have the bed that's too small to haul a MTB on the tailgate. (the rear wheel of my bike is within 6" of the end of my Maverick bed, and the SC is 6" shorter. oops, guess hyundai didn't check that.) and the reach-over to put things in the bed is higher than the Maverick. smaller and taller, great.
I do prefer the interior quality. It's not the styling of them, it's that the SC has good materials and the Mav is cheap recycled plastic.
Maverick wins bigtime for cosmetics. It looks better and it looks like a little truck. The SC looks like a modern Subaru Outbrat / Baja. I guess that's good if you wanted that, but I wanted a truck.![]()
The bed difference is 2" unless you count the optional (and removable) tonneau cover which eats into the top part of bed space. Without it you can absolutely toss 4 XL enduro bikes over the tailgate pad. But this was my solution to bringing alllll the bikesthen you have the bed that's too small to haul a MTB on the tailgate. show me a pic on a tailgate pad, I'm curious. because this YTer has the same bike I do, and it clearly does not fit without putting it in diagonally. In the video you can hear the guy say he has the cover. Here's what it looks like without:show me a pic on a tailgate pad, I'm curious. because this YTer has the same bike I do, and it clearly does not fit without putting it in diagonally. (2017 size large Santa Cruz Bronson, 27.5 wheels.)
a good riding buddy has a nukeproof 29er and it's 3-4" longer wheelbase than my bike, but it fits in my Mav. it's close.
thanks! that's pretty close. my son's bike is long as hell, too.In the video you can hear the guy say he has the cover. Here's what it looks like without:

Dealers seems to have some stock of the non hybrid. I'd go hybrid if at all possible with you're driving requirements. If you need to tow something, rent a half ton. You'll wait 6 months or so for the XLT hybrid. You could try and get on a cancelation list. Sometimes deals fall through...Long time lurker, I researched both trucklets extensively before finally going with a 2024 Santa Cruz. I absolutely loved it, but some kids flipped their Land Cruiser into me at a stop sign and now I'm shopping again.
For me, the biggest pluses for the Maverick are the hybrid drivetrain and aftermarket support. Is everybody still waiting for their hybrids, or do they finally have some on lots? Also it sounds like Ford has been removing standard equipment over time. What's been removed since the 2022s?

2024 MY de-content. This ^^, IMO, hurt most…I use it all the time in my other vehicles…Ford saved pennies vs. killing a popular feature….I’d take carpet delete over giving up the keypad. Boneheads out of touch with their customer base. They deleted the option of the keyless entry keypad
