These are the codes that I and others have captured;

U1011 - The automobile fault code U1011 indicates a problem with the Controller Area Network (CAN) communication harness, a faulty Engine Control Module (ECM), or a poor harness ground connection. The most common symptom is the Engine Light ON or Service Engine Soon Warning Light.
U1028 - The automobile fault code U1028 indicates a communication issue between the vehicle’s modules. This is often accompanied by the engine light turning on. The cause of this fault code could be a faulty module, an open or shorted module harness, or a poor electrical connection in the module circuit.

The Service center is still trying to replicate the issue. They will keep it another night - driving a longer distance at highway speeds in hopes of reproducing the issue. I do appreciate them trying to capture/identify the root cause.

The switch on the end of the turn signal lever may have gotten toggled to the off position.
Oh I wish, and also the first thing I thought of. It is continually cancelling auto steer and it will not manually turn it off to not use that feature.

Got the truck back from the dealer. They could not replicate the issue. :( They also said that they have not heard of this issue with anyone else in Wichita, KS

Having not read the entire thread..

I have a 2023 Hybrid XLT. I received two letters from Ford to complete NHTSA recalls 24v140 (24c01) and 23v848 (23c41).

If you were me, would you go in to have these recalls addressed at this time, or hold off?

Hold off.

The cure is worse than the ailment.

Just got a call from the Koons dealer. They fixed my 2022 Hybrid Lariat that's been there for eight days today. They think it was the Smart junction box that they replaced. They drove it for 70 miles with no issues and hope this fixes it. I hope so to and will let everyone know when I do, say sometime in May or so after some long trips driving 70+.

Update. Gave the dealer my truck on 3/29. Sat until 4/5 where they finally started to look into the limp mode and shuddering issues. The next week they "reapplied" the recalls to correct the shuddering and limp mode then my truck sat in the suspension department until today 4/10 where they finally diagnosed that both CVs are indeed bad. So now its waiting for those to arrive and I'm pulling offers from Carmax and Carvana.

This issue happened to me yesterday. Highway speeds, cruising at 80, no acceleration and had to pull off to the side of the road, a total of 4 times. Each time I sat on the side of the road, shut off the car and waited 5 mins. The first time happend 2 hours into my trip, 30 mins away from my destination. The other 3 on the return trip.
I did bring my code reader and captured the same 2 codes each time, U1011 and U1028.

I did have the recalls done the last week of Feb. The technician came to my house, connected my battery to his generator before flashing. He did everything right.

I have made this same trip and others multiple times, this was the first long one after the recalls.

I scheduled an appointment on Monday when the first incident occured. By the time I get it there, I am sure the codes and the CEL will be gone.
This has happened to me 3 times so far. They can pull up the codes even if they are not currently active. It's been seemingly random. It happened today and the last time it happened was thousands of miles ago. Each time the dealership has shrugged their shoulders and claimed they can't reproduce the issue.

Update for anyone still dealing with this issue. The first time I brought it in to the dealership for the limp mode issue they had no idea what the issue was. I brought it in on Friday and within the day they diagnosed it as an issue with the PCM and I haven't had any issues so far (knock on wood).

It really would be great if the people who are getting the PCM updated can give more details as to what the dealer did. It can help with others who are getting the same problems and have their solutions much faster with information to what caused the problem (was it the 23P18 PCM recall?) and what solution was done.

Sorry for the late reply on this. I had the original PCM recall completed and started seeing the limp mode issue shortly after. It was very sporadic. Sometimes could go a couple thousand miles without seeing it again.

They updated the PCM software again. I am not sure of the specifics regarding the update, but my assumption would be that they received new direction from Ford because the last time I brought it in they had no idea how to fix it and this time they diagnosed that as the issue right away and had the vehicle ready within 24 hours.
