In my research for some pieces Im working on for my YouTube channel and because I have ordered my own Maverick XL, I have noticed some conflicting information on the interior color scheme.

The seat trim is consistently listed as black onyx, but there is a question mark as to the color of much of the background plastic trims. On the consumer website in the build, the still photos (1st below) show a monotone charcoal interior color with copperish accent trims across the dash and door panels. When you go to the 360 view (2nd photo), Navy Pier appears instead as the background color with black on the door panel inserts and what appears to be Navy Pier for the dash accent.

On the media site, there is a video in which the interior designer is quoted as saying the XL interior has a nice combination of Navy Pier and the blacks. She shows a set of samples but even those samples are ambiguous and are hard to distinguish from black or blue.

I am happy for my own truck either way, but when I produce some video here soon on the colors and trims I want to be accurate. I have reached out to Ford Media about it, but am curious if anyone here has any information on what is or is not?

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but I think all 3 trims levels share the parts that are "navy pier" colored. the only thing that changes are the trim and accent pieces

I hope you get an answer from Ford, I’ve been wondering the same thing. Some real life XL interior pics would be great.

Keep in mind that the configurator pictures typically are not great at trying to pull details from. They routinely have errors and inconsistent lighting/color temperature that can make one color seem like another. From what I can tell/my understanding is that the XL comes with all black plastics/soft touch materials with a more subdued accent color (that dark copper looking trim). Only the XLT and Lariat get the navy pier plastics.

Just found this photo from the Ford Dealer Sourcebook, showing a clear view the XL interior with Navy Pier.

Ok then this is something Ford NEEDS to address. The only reason I chose the XL is for BLACK interior. Not the navy pier sh*t. Hopefully this picture is from an earlier point when they had navy pier for the XL before switching to black….

To each his own, I went with the XLT FOR the blue. I wanted Alto Blue and will be an awesome combo.

Steering wheel has no cruise control buttons.... Only an XL does not come with cruise.
Hmmm, didn’t think you could get the blue with XL

Well when Ford lists the XL as having BLACK ONYX interior where as both the XLT and Lariat are listed with variations of Navy Pier, one would assume that meant NO BLUE on the XL.... Do not understand Ford's new obsession with this navy blue color in making it NOT and option. They did the same thing to First Edition Bronco's with making Navy Pier the only interior option.

Same here, I couldn't see why a black interior option wasn't available with carbonized gray exterior in XLT. So I opted for XL. I'll pick up an aftermarket cruise control down the road.

The video below does a decent job of showing a brief, but good enough, comparative view of the "XL" & "XLT" set of seats (color, styling, fabric, etc.). Also, it appears that the "XL" back seat does not have a flip down arm rest.
