So my 2024 Lariat Hybrid has been sitting at a Chicago Rail Yard for 8 weeks now. My dealer is only 50 miles from the Rail Yard.
I have tried Ford chat, marketing and customer service to no avail, keep telling me to talk to my dealer.
The dealer keeps saying there is nobody at Ford they can contact to get it rolling. Just keep waiting until it comes in
Does anybody have a number at Ford to get this going.
Thanks

I doubt that there is something that you could do @ the railyard to get it there any faster.

Ask your dealer to check VIN VIEW to see what carrier it is assigned to. They may be able to contact that company and get yours expedited. For certain carriers, our dealership has had success w/ doing that. They'll often arrive w/in a week after our inquiry. This easy/successful this is will depend on which transportation company has position of it.

Is it part of the gas tank recall?

Chicago rail yard is a logistics nightmare. I’m hoping mine goes through Cottage Grove or Dilworth MN. Best of luck.

I am in the same boat waiting on the gas tank recall with my new Maverick sitting at the Chicago yard not too far from me too.
Frustrating, I haven't been able to make any progress either. Leaning on my dealer/salesman. When I first heard about the 4th quarter nonsense I ordered another Maverick just because.
My first Maverick made it to the Chicago burbs in 8 days from the plant

I'm a transit driver for our local Ford dealer. Talk to your dealer and see if they can send someone to railyard to pick it up. I have went many times to pick up vehicles from 3 different railyards. One of our sales manager (who deals with inventory) gets with railyard to arrange pickup. Dealers generally don't like to do this because Ford Motor Company will not reimburse them for this, since delivery to dealership is included in price dealer gets it for. But, since you have waited this amount of time, maybe they will.

mine sat in rail yard long enough to get hailed on twice, so then before it was released it had to be fixed...frustrating!

I’ve heard some vehicles stuck at rail yards can sometimes be for not powering on due to low or bad battery. I also wonder for those that continue to have the 12v battery issues after purchase if being stuck at rail yard was the first sign of battery troubles?

No carrier assigned yet. Dealer will not call anybody. Tells me to wait it out.
