No carrier assigned yet. Dealer will not call anybody. Tells me to wait it out.
Depending on where it is, there may be nothing that they can do!
Once a carrier is assigned, there are more possibities.

Someone mentioned possibility of recall.... if you send me your VIN I can check on that for you.

For anyone that had a truck fabricated the third week of January and is still waiting on delivery, there's a good chance it was part of the gas tank recall. The one of the only ways to find out is to check the VIN with the NHTSA, as Ford is not informing customers or dealers if their truck was affected. They just put an indefinite hold on the trucks at the depots so they can't be shipped to the dealers until the recall is fixed, which isn't planned until Q4 of this year.

The only other way to confirm is to call Ford's recall department and manage to dig through eight layers of phone menus to get a real person who will look it up in their system. The NHTSA website below is a lot faster.

If you are affected by the gas tank recall, like me, see the thread linked. Long story, short: Your best option is hoping your dealer will order you a replacement truck and transfer everything over to the new VIN. Otherwise, your probably not seeing your truck until between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

It looks like you are correct. The VIN shows a fuel tank recall. What a bunch of BS that the dealer does not know this information and I have not been notified by Ford. I have to find out about it on a forum. Thanks for your help

Not that it makes you feel any better, but at least you know now. It seems like Ford has been actively trying to hide it from the people and dealers affected.

If you're "lucky", your dealer could put in for a replacement truck for you. My replacement is scheduled to be here around the middle of July now. My dealership got it bumped it up to a priority code 02, so it got scheduled the week after the order got put in. If your dealer would do the same, I think you'd be looking somewhere around August now? Not great but still better than Thanksgiving.

If it was a rollover order, your pretty much stuck with the same dealership as you need them to transfer the private offer over to the new truck VIN. You're also dependent on them still having allocations for this year to even be able to place the order. Though if they can't be bothered to make a phone call to see what the delay is, what's the chances of the going through that whole process for you?

If it isn't a rollover order, I'd probably walk away from it and find a dealer that still has allocations and at least pretends to care. They should still be able to get you the higher priority code, if you explain the situation.

Problem solved.
Went out last night to another local dealer and bought a hybrid lariat almost the same as the one I ordered (different color but i am ok with that) for less $ then the ordered truck was to be. Even got the hard tri fold bed cover, mudflaps and hood deflector in the deal. Thanks for all the help

What is the gas tank recall?
Some of the Mavs assembled in January have a gas tank with a potential of leaking. The vendor suppling the tanks lost power to one of the pinch welding units assembling the tanks. To date there hasn't been an actual leak of one of the tanks on the road but they aren't releasing any that haven't been delivered to the customer yet
