Hey, just wanted to comment, maybe I read it wrong, but doesn't seem to be much difference (except price) between an AWD w/tow package and the Tremor. Also they are saying fuel economy drops 10-15 miles per gal. With the Tremor package.
I have a 2023 AWD/tow package 2.0 turbo, and I'm getting 28-32 miles per gal. My options also mirror a Tremor. I also ordered mine, factory direct, and final cost was $32,500.

The tremor can only tow 2k pounds and the payload is only 1200 and not 1500 like the other Mavericks.

The Tremor has a locking rear differential. 1" lift. Stronger CV joints. Different suspension with hydraulic bump stops. Water cooled PTU. Also the Tremor has better approach, departure and breakover angles. These are the main mechanical differences from the FX4 with 4k.

There are also some appearance differences.

Really depends on what you are buying it for, the Tremor is aimed at off road with the more advanced AWD system from the Bronco Sport Badlands. If you need to tow then you probably bought the right Mav for you. One thing I can say coming from a FX4 is how much better the Tremor rides and handles.

Basically if you need offroad ability and understand that the difference between towing 2000lbs and 4000lbs is laughable. Then the Tremor has got the goods. I love ours and on the highway it gets great mileage. Unfortunately we dont have much highway on the island so it only get double the mpg of our old 96 Bronco. We avg 20mpg. Thats 2% highway, 5-10% offroad, and the rest is city stoplights, running the ac for the dogs at the grocery store, or winding roads with constant elevation changes.

Offroad it does great. Pulls me up anything that it doesnt drag it butt on.

Are the CV's really stronger? Where is the confirmation of this? Never knew about the bump stops either.

Honestly I'd keep what you have. Great choice in color and wheels and while reports on the Tremor seem to get usually above average MPG's, you likely won't get what you are getting now. Wait for the refresh and see what they offer.

No, it's more of a 3-5 mpg hit.
And honestly that's with a little over 700 miles on it, hopefully it will get better as it breaks in.

The Tremor's GCVWR is 6,175 lbs and its Kerb Weight is 3,807 lbs. This means its maximum towing weight is 2,368 lbs. Of course, this assumes no passengers and no fuel. Ford assumes 368 lbs to cover passengers and fuel when it says towing limit is 2,000 lbs.

With a four pin connector, though, any trailer cannot have electric brakes. The Tremor is doing all the braking.

There are lots of lightweight trailer/campers out there. If you want to tow something heavier, you should probably buy a bigger truck (Ranger for example).

OP is not looking at the difference between the FX4 vs the Tremor. He distinctly expressed 4k tow and AWD to the Tremor package which is a huge difference.

A few things you didn't mentioned is a 6 or 6.5 inch screen instead of the 4 inch. Upgraded tires to Falcon Wildpeaks AT3 P235. Trail control two different modes mud and ruts, and sand mode. Also front tow hooks just to add a few more items

For me though I would rather have the FX4 with 4K tow and upgrade the tire size to P235 AT tires, I might lose the trail control but still have hill descent.Yes I lose the approach angle, trail control and the lockers. To me I will use or utilize the increased gas mileage, extra payload, and 4k towing capabilities everyday or far more often. I would have a hard time having a truck and not being able to use it as a truck. For instance what good is having it if I can't pull a neighbor, friend etc from a ditch, you can only pull 2000lbs. I guess the tow hooks is used to pull the tremor out vs pulling another vehicle out?

You would lose a little better ride but you gain less rock or roll associated with the 1 inch lift and the tremor suspension. You also lose a little ground clearance. The tremor is 9.4 the AWD is 8.6 but if you add p235 it's .51 higher or width so theoretically it should raise it up by .255 or 8.855. Don't hold me to this but from what I can gather on the internet this hopefully is correct, if not I'm only using this as entertainment so don't consider this information as correct.

Big difference from AWD and 4k tow to the AWD, FX4 and 4k tow and even more difference with the Tremor package

The XLT FX4 gets the larger 6.5" unit.

You can obviously pull more than 2,000 lbs. You just can't tow more than 2,000 lbs over long distances.

Obviously the tow hooks are for the Tremor to be towed. No one tows another vehicle in reverse (which is what you are implying).

The Tremor tow ratings are only because the radiator isnt rated for the mountains at 4000lbs with without risking warranty claims. Also the springs are softer so it may have a little more movement and sag in the rear. Other than that its not big deal. 4000lbs isnt enough of a tow rating to be considered a big deal what so ever. So overloading a 2000lb rating vs having a 4000lb rating is laughable.

Its hilliarious how many people make a big deal about the tow rating.
