The dealer reported that the car ran fine on two test drives They are keeping it overnight and have the shop foremen check it out
They have not done any repairs

I don't think that this is related to 23S27 at all. Others have had similar problems after some of the reprogramming recalls. Most likely 23c41 and/or 23E09.

Ford Tech forms has multiple techs talking about multiple codes and limp mode occurring intermittently after one of these recalls.

Ford is still investigating.

It sounds like your circumstances are similar - it will most likely need a software update.

On my own hybrid Maverick, I had those recalls performed 2 months and 2500 miles ago, and have had no issues.

I know that long long long up grade out of Baker if that’s where you were. Curious about which drive mode the truck was in?

That’s too bad! I hope Ford has provided you with transportation if not a speedy solution. Please keep us posted!

Please
My 2022 Hybrid with about 10,000 miles on it died outside of Baker Calif on the way to Vegas
(I was headed home, I live in Vegas)
I got several error messages on the dash board, and on my phone via the Ford app
"Service engine Soon"
"Collision assist unavailable"
I pulled over and the car would restart, but only with very low engine power
Unfortunately I was in an area with no cell data service, but I did have voice and text service
I called Ford Roadside assistance, and the automated response wanted me to go online
The automated voice repeatedly tried to get me to put in an online request
Eventually I was able to talk to a human
They wanted to tow the car to the nearest dealer, which was in vegas
They said the warranty only covered 15 miles of towing, and I had to pay $300
I complained about the charge to no avail.
And I had to pay this amount online, which I could not do without internet service
Eventually they transferred me to the payment department, I complained about the charge
and now they politely apologized for the error, and I would not have to pay anything.
A tow truck was dispatched, from Vegas he was able to drive the car and get it in position for towing.
Eventually we got to vegas, and as it was a Sunday , it was dropped in the after hours service drop point
We then took an Uber home. All tolled about 4 hours

The problem seems to be related to recall notice 23S27, NTSA 23V380

Its at at the dealer now
Update us with issue(s). Thanks

Can you send over a message with your VIN and the name/location of the Ford dealer you are currently working with? I would like to see what I can do to assist with your engine concerns.

Moral to the story is get your recalls done, especially the ones that are critical about engine failure. Sorry that happened to you. My mustang Mach E stranded me in Dateland California for 14 hours so I still win. There is nothing to eat there except for date shakes. Sold that freaking Mustang for 12 grand more than I paid for it and couldn’t be happier with my Maverick.

The recall is creating the issue in certain hybrids. Ford still doesn’t know where the bug is in their programming.

Way to go Ford. Recalls on recalls. When are you ever going to get compitent software engineers and quality assurance personnel and quit using owners as Guinea Pigs?

My 2022 XLT Hybrid gave me a screen full of error codes, by the time the wrecker showed up it was working just fine and then spent the rest of the day cooling my butt at the dealership where the burned a quarter tank trying to duplicate the codes.

Had a video but it won't load. Haven't had any issues since but the fear of "Will it start" nags at me every time I open the door. I miss the days of Points, Plugs and Condensers, Timing Lights and Carburetor adjustments but at least I could fix it in the middle of nowhere, using the old parts from the last tune-up.

Same here, had two Mav's done with those two recalls in January and haven't any problems.
