Had the same problem, my truck has been at the dealership since February 14th. They don't know how to fix it. Ford engineering is also involved.
2023 maverick lariat luxury hybrid.
Could you explain exactly what happened ?

Driving 70 to 75 mph, truck loses power. Power train malfunction / reduced power 1st warning.
Pre collision assist not available: 2nd warning
Service engine soon: 3rd warning

This happened 2 times to me and has happened 2 times for the dealership. No answer yet from ford how to fix it.

Did you have the turn signal and/or instrument panel illumination recall done recently ? Did this happen after ?

It happened 2 days after those recalls, which the day in between I did not drive the truck.
I think the illumination one is the culprit. Started hearing more issues after that one but tough to say because they are so close together.

Maybe there will be a recall for a recall.

My 2022 Hybrid with about 10,000 miles on it died outside of Baker Calif on the way to Vegas
(I was headed home, I live in Vegas)
I got several error messages on the dash board, and on my phone via the Ford app
"Service engine Soon"
"Collision assist unavailable"
I pulled over and the car would restart, but only with very low engine power
Unfortunately I was in an area with no cell data service, but I did have voice and text service
I called Ford Roadside assistance, and the automated response wanted me to go online
The automated voice repeatedly tried to get me to put in an online request
Eventually I was able to talk to a human
They wanted to tow the car to the nearest dealer, which was in vegas
They said the warranty only covered 15 miles of towing, and I had to pay $300
I complained about the charge to no avail.
And I had to pay this amount online, which I could not do without internet service
Eventually they transferred me to the payment department, I complained about the charge
and now they politely apologized for the error, and I would not have to pay anything.
A tow truck was dispatched, from Vegas he was able to drive the car and get it in position for towing.
Eventually we got to vegas, and as it was a Sunday , it was dropped in the after hours service drop point
We then took an Uber home. All tolled about 4 hours

The problem seems to be related to recall notice 23S27, NTSA 23V380

Its at at the dealer now
When it is fixed Sell it you got a Lemon
or keep being inconvenienced Lucky it wasn’t August

15 miles for a tow? That is pretty crappy. Most places it's 50 miles. Even still, 4 hours is not too bad.

When I was on service calls sometimes it would take us 2+ hours to reach trucks from SD, CA in Arizona and we still had to do hasty repairs to get them back on the road. RIP the entire day and night. Even worse if it happened later in the day. 4 hours for the whole event in an area with little to no cell service sounds pretty not bad.

Keep us posted on your truck.

Thanks for the response. Sorry to hear that and hope it is fixed soon. Maybe your dealer will even give you some info as to why, maybe. I would only be guessing why it happened. Good Luck!!

In Michigan, 15 miles free towing is the default; pay extra to get extra towing miles.

I've been dreading this type of 23S27 post, 2022 Lariat Hybrid with just under 10,000 miles here.
I recently stopped into one of the local Ford dealers in north Scottsdale and talked to them about the recalls. Had them run my VIN in their system.
The emissions recall didn't apply although Ford did send me a notice, and we talked about the 23S27.
They said they don't expect a fix for this one until Q3 of this year!
Scary ......

The dealer reported that the car ran fine on two test drives They are keeping it overnight and have the shop foremen check it out
They have not done any repairs

yeah you can get AAA 'rv' road service for about $80 a year and they'll tow you 200 miles.
That's actually not too bad, considering.
