With 7500 miles on my Hybrid my overall MPG is 43.4. This includes about 1000 miles at or above 70mph. My secret (?!!): I don't leadfoot, approaching a red light or stop sign I let off the joy pedal and coast farther than many/most drivers, and I use the cruise control as much as is practical. The only mod I've done to my Mav is to add a Steeda strut tower brace, and glad I did, too. Happy motoring yew awl, and keep on truckin'.In my new maverick lariat hybrid at the 1000 mile mark with a mixture of city and highway driving I’m getting about 35mpg. I’ve had some folks report on YouTube and chat rooms crazy numbers like 45mpg etc. am I missing something? Does my driving generally suck or are there better ways to improve fuel economy?![]()
