So with these nearing 'Sold-out' status, is it safe to assume we shouldn't see a single Hybrid dealer stock unit until at least 2023? Or is this going to turn into the same story as the Bronco where Ford promised to build all reservations first and stock after reservations were built, but if you've been following that, you'd see Ford reverted and is in fact building stock units ahead of reserved orders for 2022 and beyond. I could see Ford doing the same stunt with the Maverick..
That seems like something that could go down. I was told from my regional rep that Ford initially figured a 60% 2.0L and 40% Hybrid order level. It was flipped. They shut down stock ordering for hybrids as soon as they could to help dedicate to the large allocations for retail orders being received. Bronco had more issues than just overwhelming amounts of orders. (Top issue, chip issue, COVID)

I keep reading about people who can't wait anymore cancelling their orders on this forum, so I'm sure dealers will get those units on their lots to sell.

Right but that's not going to be anywhere near enough to meet actual demand, nor would that be a true stock unit in terms of what I was getting at. Just thinking out loud here.

What I was meaning was I bet Ford turns this into the Bronco situation in no time.. there will be folks who ordered hybrids, still without a build date, and dealers will be somehow getting stock units to sell with a nice fat markup.
Gotcha, yea im with you there. I have 8 in Transit, only 3 are Orders (2.0ls obvi). Small amount of total orders have even been slected.

Guess that's better than nothing but a -$2K+ rebate would have been a lot nicer 😊
I'd settle for my bed liner for free and I did ask my dealer for it
I made it clear I'm a little pissed off.
I won't hold my breath though

lol! You want your dealer to give you a free bed liner because Ford can't make these fast enough? I guess if they are marking up MSRP a lot on you 🤷‍♂️

If you haven't received this yet -- it’s coming, it goes to dealers first. That way we can prep for the incoming calls. Hang in there!

The Ford letter I want is one that gives me a rough estimate of when my truck might be built based on where I stand in the current order queue. February, March, April, May?

No I'm pissed off at Ford because my Maverick went from built and shipping in 3 to 5 days then to shipped arriving in 11 to 17 days then delivery on October 17 to TBD so I figured I'd ask
I have no expatiation it will happen but it doesn't hurt to ask.

This. Not even my dealer will say where I stand in the order queue that they have.

complete speculation on my part, but up until today hybrid orders have been very sporadic without much correlation to order date. Now it seems a lot of the June orders were the ones getting December production dates. And since hybrid production is almost full through July/August 2022. I would say rule of thumb could be june order = December production, july = January, august = March, September = April, October = May

why are people pissed off? Clearly states in the pre order contract that Ford cannot adhere to any time frame. Literally not like they gave you a built date when you bought it. You bought a truck that’s not even built yet, also on its first year release. I don’t understand how people are mad at all. It’s not like it’s a F150 that Ford has been selling for 50+ years.
