Pretty happy with the off-line acceleration on a hybrid when it’s in sport mode. It’s a lot quicker than I thought. Loving the Lariat
Me too. I have not fully broken mine in, so I do not want to push it. I also have the Lariat Hybrid. such a relaxing ride.

How is the gas engine only getting 23mpg, that seems really low.

'22 hybrid got dinged bigly on brakes (surprise, surprise), with a "well below average" rating, and on powertrain, with a "below average" rating.
What's the issue with the brakes? Did it get better on the '23 hybrid?

Biggest issues I’ve got with my 22 Lariat AWD Is dash rattles and windshield. As long as I’m on a smooth road no rattles, city streets and it’s rattle city. The windshield is horrible, I think it’s made of cheap glass that pecks really easy. It has sparkly tiny chips all over and is impossible to get clean.
Be religious about rain-x. I find that it can help cover up pitting and such when kept fresh.

I used to drive a lot at night and a good rain-x / buff would make a world of diff with glare. Maybe there is a better product which doesn't need reapplication as much if you look.

Amazing to me how close the 0-60 is with 14 mpg difference. My hybrid never feels slow to me.
100% agree, at highway speeds >65mph or merging into traffic i have LOVED how much 'pep' the Hybrid had available. thoroughly satisfied with the get up and go so far(5k + miles on her so far.

I agree. I can pass people on the freeway with ease. Merging is easy.

I have to say, working at a dealership and seeing what comes in, or doesn't, you learn what vehicles have problems. So far I can say that I haven't seen issues which been repeated among multiple customers, and for that fact, not many issues at all.
Sure, there has been one or two Mavericks which have come through with an issue someone here might have mentioned having, but no major issues. No engines, no transmissions, no major driveline problems.... Aside from the recalls, which for a new model really haven't been that many, they have largely been trouble-free. And if you're someone to frequently change vehicles, that's good for resale/trade-in value too. For the rest of us, that hopefully means we don't spend a lot of money or time in the service department.

I can tell you aren't much of an enthusiast because the difference of 1.2 seconds between the hybrid and ecoboosts 0-60 times is insane. Like almost a 60 HP difference. You don't gain 60 HP with simple bolt ons like a cat back, CAI kit, and a tune.

CR has a standard mixed-driving test course or route. I forget the details. It really depends. With 90% highway driving I get about 26 winter, 28 summer, when not towing. This probably is discussed at length in MPG threads.

What was the "Power Equipment" that they dinged on the MY22 but recommended on the MY23?

Also any details on what "Body Hardware" they were unhappy with?
So its just based on survey results, and relies on their subscribers being honest and accurate with where they put check boxes.

For why one MY might get dinged while the subsequent doesn't even though its the exact same component, its just survey results from owners. If its the best double up arrow green, that means they had statistically insignificant or no reports of issues compared to average they get for a category. Maybe Ford fixed something, maybe its luck of the draw, maybe that component takes a while before people start noticing issues with it.

For definitions, see: https://www.consumerreports.org/car...umer-reports-car-reliability-faq-a1099917197/

BODY HARDWARE: Windows, locks and latches, doors or sliding doors, tailgate, trunk or hatch, mirrors, seat controls (power or manual), heated or cooled seats, heated steering wheel, seat belts, sunroof, convertible top, glass defect.

IN-CAR ELECTRONICS: CD player, rear entertainment system (rear screen or DVD player), radio, speakers, in-dash GPS, display screen freezes or goes blank, phone pairing (e.g., Bluetooth), voice control commands, steering wheel controls, portable music device interface (e.g., iPod/MP3 player), backup or other camera/sensors, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, infotainment hardware replacement, software over-the-air fixes, head-up display.

Not an enthusiast, you're right. I'll pocket my thousands of dollars in gas savings and bolt ons...maybe I'll use it to take the kids to Disney.

You're argument is hilarious irony, btw..."I can tell you don't care about enthusiast specs"...proceeds to spout off enthusiast specs. 🤣

Have fun with your EB!
