Hey, thanks for doing the legwork. The link worked and I learned something new today. Who knew that BP was not top tier gas ?
I know, I was surprised at BP not being Top Tier.

I know there are is an app out there that shows Top Tier locations, but my local Co-op in town here is Top Tier.

Both videos really have a lot of good information, and I enjoy good information from a knowledgeable source.

Have a good one,

Andy

Toptiergas.com is where you can find gas stations selling, you guessed it, top tier gas.

What is the main cause carbon build up ? Not using top tier gas ?
More of a feather foot on the gas than anticipated by the engineers can do it!

there is a piece out there from one of the Northstar engineers that says, in short, that they really didn't anticipate someone getting that engine and driving like a grandma. This leads to carbon buildup in it. (Once it existed, Cadillac specified TopTier fuel for the Northstar; they were the only american company part of the specification).

Anyway, this engineer's recommendation is to make a monthly run in which you put the transmission to 1st, let the engine shift when it needs to, and accelerate from a stop to freeway speed at open throttle!

Alrighty, then it's pedal to the metal in an effort to change my driving habits.
