I just had my 22 Maverick XL in for the turn signal recall. When I picked it up I found the OEM cruse control I added and programed no longer works. It's back in now to check. I wonder if dissconneting the battery or their work on the recall changed the FORSCAN program back to as built program? Any insite?

Others here have reported the same issue. I wondered about that when folks stared changing things through for scan like driving modes and such.

Dealer did not update the as built file or whatever their procedure is. Understandable on forscan changes. Changes made on truck but not recorded on permanent file.

Yeah, I kind of expect it to be honest and wish I would have paid a little more attention when I activated TSR and Lane Keep because I'm likely going to have to do it a few times over the years. I'll be sure to pay closer attention this next time.

Also probably a good idea to have the recall performed before I add the factory fog light switch and toy with the BCM

The dealer had it two days and reported to me that they were sorry because it was a as they call it "a aftermarket add on" I am essentially SOL! Thats the way it is with the new computer moniterd vehicles, easy come easy go!

A big vote for buy what you want with the truck or later at the dealer.

Ford software updates can overwrite your changes and put it back to factory settings. Be prepared to add your changes back after every update. Don't blame Ford. They don't know what you changed. Just be prepared to re-do them.

Translated as give Ford the big $$$ thay can use it more than us.
My translation is pay for what you want and generally drive it for 8-12 years. I do not modify hardly ever and if I do the dealer is on call🤗. If too much $$$ I'll wait for next vehicle. I always charged what my time was worth. Besides it's become impossible to find someone to do anything.

Just go back and watch YouTube videos and re do them. Ain’t that hard
Actually, it is not that easy. I looked at the changes I made with Forscan 2 out of the 3 were what I had changed them to. The last one, the BdyCM Module Configuration (as BUILT format) was different. I changed it and cannot save it.

However, I found this in the bdycm (NOT as built) Wondering if this needs to be changed to cruise control?

Yes, I’d say that your FORScan got reset. I had similar issues, I had double honk (if keys left in while running) disabled and global windows up and down with KeyFob reset. 😡 after I had my PCM for the tail lights corrected by Ford mobile service came out.
