Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Not Available??? What does this mean? Why should that happen? Rain? Dirty windshield? I have gotten this message a few times. Can it be over-ridden for a "standard" cruise control? Thanks

I had a "Front Camera Fault" a few months ago. Impacted the ACC & Lane Centering. Unfortunately, I was not able to switch to standard Cruise Control as this problem also took away that option. Fix was to have front camera in windshield re-aligned.

Only other time I have ad the ACC not working is during winter when slush/snow builds up on the ACC box in the front grill. Clearing it restored the ACC.

I have had that come up a few times. Usually it also say something about low visibility or too clean the windshield. In my case it typically happens in the morning when there is dew on the windows. It resumes normal operation once everything warms up.

ACC is also not available when towing. You have to go into options and set for normal cruise control, and vice versa when not towing.

I upgraded the Co-Pilot360 for $760 to get blind spot monitoring. I didn’t know that will take away adaptive cruise control. I really wanted both. I love both features.
Honda puts those features as standard on a Honda Civic. My next vehicle will have Blindspot monitoring and adaptive cruise control. If that means no American car, then I won’t get one. I have to have those safety features. I can’t believe Ford doesn’t make those features standard on all vehicles. In this day and age you get used to them.
My 2020 Honda Civic, with a six speed manual, came with those features, no extra money. American manufacturers need to start stepping it up!

I'm fairly sure, not positive, that the adaptive cruise control was only available on the Lariat and Lobo trim levels for MY25 so it was never there to take away on the other trim levels.

You can also add the Tremor to that list. An XLT would not have it available at all.

when I ordered my 2025 it seems like there was not much information about ordering from Ford. Mine is a hybrid, and I added quite a few things as accessories. I can’t believe adaptive cruise control was not standard with the safety suite that it comes with.
I can see why imports outsell, American vehicles.

I got the " Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Not Available " error about a month ago in an extremely heavy rain storm. It did clear. I think I pulled over, shut off the vehicle (2024 Lariat Hybrid) and restarted.

Where did you read that? My '24 Lariat has both BLIS and ACC, and they both work at the same time.

edit: Adding the Co-Pilot 360 did not TAKE AWAY the ACC, ACC was never available on the MY25 XLT.

The Order Guide is always available when the order banks open, your Dealer could have provided you with a copy. What date did you order yours?

I've seen the comments that once the CCM sets a fault, like from rain, cycling truck Off/On will clear the fault and allow ACC to be used.

Service Manual Description for 2025:

The IPMA monitors the yaw rate signal from the ABS module and compares it to the wheel speed signals.
If the ABS module determines the yaw rate is invalid, the IPMA disables ACC.
The IPC center displays the message COLLISION WARNING MALFUNCTION and/or ADAPTIVE CRUISE MALFUNCTION.

The CCM monitors the environment in front of the vehicle while active. If the radar beam is obstructed by a buildup of snow, ice, rain or other debris or the vehicle is driven in a desert environment with no other traffic for extended periods of time, the sensor will trigger an ADAPTIVE CRUISE NOT AVAILABLE SENSOR BLOCKED SEE MANUAL message and will disable ACC.
ACC resumes once the obstruction is cleared and the radar is able to detect targets or upon an ignition cycle.

If aftermarket equipment is installed on the front of the vehicle or snow or ice obstructs the CCM , the ACC may function erratically or not at all.
The ACC needs to be disengaged using the menu option and the operator only has non-adaptive cruise control functionality.

The ACC system does not engage properly if the front radar sensor is not aligned correctly and the message center displays FRONT SENSOR NOT ALIGNED.
The ACC resumes once the radar is aligned and is able to properly detect targets.
The CCM radar vertical and horizontal alignment procedure is located in General Procedures.
The horizontal alignment for the CCM is a calibration check performed by the scan tool to insure the CCM is pointed straight. The scan tool identifies this as, Alignment Offset with a horizontal specification of +/- 3.0 degrees offset.

The ABS module estimates brake temperature by monitoring applied brake pressure over a period of time and sends a message to the CCM when the estimated temperature is above a given threshold. An alarm sounds and the ACC system is deactivated until the estimated brake temperature returns to cooler operating conditions. This condition can happen in a hilly or mountainous driving terrain. While the vehicle is hauling a heavy trailer with the tow haul mode OFF, the brakes can overheat more easily on long descents, which disables the system.

The powertrain doesn’t matter, but that’s unfortunate for ya. Assumptions are a bad thing

I encountered this situation on the way to work this morning. It was preceded by a warning about the traction control system.

That's strange, maybe it's a pre-2025 thing because ACC still works on mine when towing

Lane centering is disabled, but ACC still works
